Whew.
Man, it's warm outside. Past forty C for the last couple of days. There's a mini-tree-thing in the back yard which looks like it's been crisped to paper. It's hot enough so that walking into sunlight feels like pressing up against a burning wall. House in a shipping container
Remember how I was interested in putting an entire set of expandable living quarters inside a shipping container on the back of a truck?
Been done.
At least I know who to get to build the thing, now... and he's even done some 3x2 designs. -
Industrial fan
Nice fan design here from jesterjade. Industrial, utilitarian, highly useful and adaptive.

Dinner and the superbrowser
Went to dinner with family and friends - chinese, very nice. Probably blew my diet all to hell, but meh.
Added some more function buttons to my web browser - one for automatically reconfiguring any too-wide pages to the width of the window (to eliminate sideways scrolling), and one for Coralcaching whatever URL I'm trying to get to, which means I ( Read more... ) -
Catching up
Right. Have returned boat-sized car and remote-area mobile phone to travel-prone parents. Done a little shopping - enough to tide us over until tomorrow. Made some phone calls, and now have an appointment to pick stitches out of my face on Monday - before 8am. Urgh ( Read more... )
