 I'm in a space of happy fuzzy feelings.  Sleepy feelings, but happy and fuzzy.

The Journal of Homosexuality has asked me to peer review and article, and I've agreed.  Awesome.  The Toronto Journal of Theology has asked me to review a book and I've agreed to that as well.  Awesome.  It makes me feel like a real scholar.

I just read the story you linked to, and it was indeed pretty awesome. I am not generally a fan of fan fiction (so to speak), but if more of it was like that (i.e. well-written, not totally contrived, and containing actual plot and character development and all that other stuff fiction generally needs to have), that might change.

Not really sure what I want to do about the two-rival-Dyke-Marches thing. My first reaction was to feel that the whole thing seemed like an unnecessarily divisive drama-fest. But OTOH, I don't really agree with the way Pride Toronto has been handling things, even though I can sympathize to some degree with the fact that they're kind of between a rock and a hard place due to having become so dependent on government and corporate funding.

I don't know... I'll have to talk to lgbtech and see what she's comfortable with, since she'll be in town that weekend and wherever I go will be with her. One consideration may be whether it looks like the "unpermitted" march will involve any risk of arrest, in which case it would ( ... )
