So! She'd met her new little brother, who seemed awesome, and left a note for Hermione in case they missed each other when she got back from her school exams. And then found her way down through the preserve to the Kraken cabin

Sabriel had finally found her room and left all her boxes there. She dragged the suitcase down to the cabins however. She left it by the bed in alcove B1, and went into the living room. She needed to sit down somewhere now and just think about everything.
"Oh hello," she said, surprised to see another girl already there, although she probably shouldn't have been.
"Oh good!" Sabriel said, grinning. She sat down in the couch. "I was afraid I'd be the only one not knowing how this was supposed to go. I'm Sabriel, I just arrived a few hours ago."
Rikku grinned back. "Nope! I mean, I'm not new here, I got here back in January? So if you need help with, like, other stuff, I can totally do that. But this whole cabin thing is I guess just for the summers?" She shook her head. "Weird. So, uh, welcome to Fandom!"
"Hey, you!" Rikku bounced over to give him a quick hug. "I snagged a spot already but I didn't know where you wanted to go. Oh! And Dawn told me, she said there were aliens at graduation, can you believe we missed it!?"
And then she waved between him and the girl she'd been speaking to. "And this is Sabriel. Sabriel, Jude. We seem to be the first ones here."
Sabriel waved. She had been wondering what had happened to the school, but if someone had attacked that would explain it. And now she was wondering what her father had meant by 'safe'.
Jude hugged her swiftly. "Aliens? Dude, you totally made me miss it." Jude sounded like he cared. Deeply.
He waved at the new girl. "Hey! Do you mind if I call you 'bra' 'cause a buncha girls don't, but I totally just mean it like the chick version of 'bro'."
Rikku waved. "Welcome to Kraken, which is a pretty depressing name for a cabin if you ask me. Is that really some kind of a sea-demon that eats ships? Oh, and I'm Rikku, hiya!"
"Oh! Hi." Rikku nodded, then giggled. "The, uh, Cuban Pete song? I seem to keep singing it during game shows. It makes Hades get ticked and that kinda amuses me. Uh, yeah, that's me." She blushed a little.
Rikku laughed. "You bet! Can't think of a better way to fight him. Although the glitter was pretty nice, too. You know, I still haven't got my scarf back?"
