I was just thinking "she must feel really ambivalent, it's so hard to leave the familiar but the new is so exciting" when I read your mood. Yup. Torn is the word.

I'm sorry you are feeling that way, but I'm SURE this is going to be a good move for you. How? Well...from everything you've said about it all, of course! :)

You'll be fab at the new job, and you'll have plenty of friends before long. But I'd be apprehensive about moving on too - familiarity is so warm and cosy! But oh, the things you'll do and the heights you'll achieve! *is proud of my little Ames*

Enjoy this last day at work, Ames, because nothing else will be like it. I've really enjoyed the stories you've shared about your kooky officemates. :D

So how was your last day? Have you picked out what you're going to wear on your first day? Did you get tears in your eyes or cry?

Today was pretty lowkey as so many people were out. I meant to leave early and really thought I'd be out of there by 4, but all those little tasks and the "good-bye rounds" took longer than expected and before I knew it was 5:30.

I spent much of my day cleaning off my desk and passing off work. Some of friends took me out to lunch. I did not cry. :)

Have no idea what I'm going to wear on Monday!
