He felt so alive, so utterly alive. The energy from the festival and the pure strength of surrounding nature. He'd been to so many festivals before, but this one. This particular one was so... So invigorating. Kurama slid through the crowds, used to so many people in such a small area. But, it was all so festive and everyone was happy ( Read more... )

The nice thing about wearing dark colors and having dark hair was that he was difficult to see if he stayed to the shadows. This was proving to be quite the advantage tonight. The hotel had swapped his usual dark ensemble for something more traditional to China but it was still deep black lined with red. And there standing just out of reach was the prettiest thing he almost killed. He breathed out a sigh at the picture of him. Whole and disarmingly delicate again with the soft glow of lanterns making him luminous against the dark background.

He smiled behind his mask and stepped forward, pausing behind the boy. Young man now, humans aged so quickly. He could smell the plants the other always had on hand, life to counter his own death. Leaning forward he murmured in Kurama's ear, "Such a beautiful tableau."

((Bear with me, I'll be very slow next week. And uh... my Karasu's still a sadist so I hope you don't mind a little gore. It has been several years since I pulled this account out XD))

(ooc: That's fine. I'm jumping between two accounts on my phone, so don't mind my slowness. And it's been a while since I played Kuama, so I'm equally rusty. Gore, light gore is fine. This is Karasu after all.)

That voice. A chill ran up Kurama's spine.

"You're dead." He whispered. One hand went towards his hair. Get some seeds and get away from this man. The man that still haunted his nightmares to this day.

"You're dead." the demond whispered.

"I thought so as well." Karasu took a step back and his eyes smiled, one long fingered hand slipping up to present himself with a flourish. "But here I am, feeling quite alive I assure you." He ignored Kurama's immediate defensive gesture.

"Are you really going to break up a nice evening like this?" He asked curiously as a pair of teenagers walked between them snuggling close. His eyes followed them. "I don't mind, but I had thought you concerned yourself more with the humans."

((Sounds good!))

Kurama swallowed the lump in his throat. "I will end you again." He whispered. But... This man, this demon. Kurasu haunted him in the way Kuronue did. It was unnerving.

"I did it once, I will do it again."

He was stronger now. He had more control.

Tomoe didn't mind this change of scenery of the hotel. In fact it was refreshing from the annoying redness that usually graced the place. He was dressed in his typical attire, befitting a familiar of the land god, one which he was quite comfortable in.

His tail and ears were on alert despite the calm settings of the festival as he still didn't trust the antics of the place. He rounded a corner and stopped when he spotted the red head. He could sense that he was no ordinary human. He was like himself a fox demon, though why in disguise he had no idea.

He made his way over to him and crossed his arms.

"So why do you hide your true form?"

"Why do I hide?" Kurama asked looking at the newcome. There was a smirk on his face as he watched the demon.

"I'm not hidding." He answered after a moment.

Tomoe looked the red head over.

"Then why stay in a human form?"

"I have priorities to protect." He told the other fox with a grin, "And it's easier to protect them like this." He watched the fox for a moment.

"Kurama."

A certain catboy was at the festival as well and happened upon the familiar face. "I thought you went home, it's been so long."

Touya hadn't seen Kurama since well before his own two-year trip home. He studied the fox thoughtfully and twitched an ear. "It looks like you're enjoying the festival."
