It was 1:00 am, and most of the house was asleep. College student Flynn, however, was not. He had been studying since he came home from football practice at 8 and showed no signs of stopping. Flynn was far from what anyone would call a bookworm, but recently he had noticed a lapse in his grades. As usual, his response to this was to completely go ( Read more... )

It had been hard; Ai was trying her best to be supportive of her brother, but when she had to watch him deteriorate like he had been, it just made everything more difficult. He looked tired all the time, and she was pretty sure that if he things up like this that he wouldn't last for much longer. A collapse was only inevitable, really. She tried to think of what she could do for him to make him take a break for at least a couple of hours. Maybe get a good night's sleep.

She froze in the middle of his room at the words, her eyes downcast. "I wasn't really trying to sneak," she said, quietly. Ai gripped the edges of a small tray she was carrying before she took a deep breath and moved over to his desk. She set the tray down on it and stepped back, her hands clutched in front of her, toying with the bottom hem of her over sized night shirt. "I thought you might be hungry, so I made you a snack, and some cocoa to wash it down..."

"Ai..."

Flynn hated worrying his family, especially his sister. He knew how much she worried about him, and was always touched by her acts of care for him. He turned his chair around so he could face her, the lines under his eyes betraying just how exhausted he really was. He gave her a tired but genuinely grateful smile.

"Thank you Ai," he said kindly. "That was incredibly sweet of you. I'm sorry you had to go through all that effort just for me."

A smile breaks across Ai's face and she shakes her head, waving her hands in the air in front of her. "Oh, it wasn't anything, really. You'd do the same for me." Looking at him made her heart hurt a little bit. The spark in his eye had dimmed considerably, and he looked so much older than he actually was. Ai just wanted to give him a hug and never let go.

She shifted away and took a seat on the edge of his bed, her hands twisting around in her lap. Ai turned her gaze toward the floor for a moment before lifting it back to his face. The worry was apparent in her eyes; even if she wanted to hide it, she wouldn't have been able to. Finally, she took a deep breath. "Flynn... You have to take a break!"

"Ai..."

Flynn wanted to argue. He wanted to tell her that he couldn't. That with their father gone Flynn had to do his best to take care of the family, especially her. But when he looked her in the eyes, he just couldn't. Flynn was stubborn, but the worry in her eyes had made him realize what the rest of his family and friends had been trying so hard to tell him: he was tired. And it wasn't just them, his self-destructive obsession with doing more than was healthy was hurting those around him as well. Even Ai, his sister who he cared for more than anything. With a sigh he slowly nodded his head.

"Okay," he said quietly before leaving his book and joining his sister on the bed. He carefully placed his hand in hers. If it was anyone else he would have argued, but Ai was one of the few people Flynn couldn't bring himself to say no to. "You're right. I'll stop for tonight."

Grace was not pleased.

She could have pretended that was because she was just so concerned about the way her dear brother was overworking himself, but that would have been a lie. And, though a liar she may have been to everyone around her, she did not lie to herself. No, she didn't even try to tell herself that she was upset for his sake-because, in her mind, the real issue here was actually much worse than the risk of him potentially hurting himself.

He wasn't paying attention to her.

At first, she had let this grave transgression slide. But when it became clear that this wasn't simply some manic studying for an upcoming exam, but some kind of permanent change in his routine-well, that's when Grace got angry about it. She had always been close to her older brother, especially after the death of their father. Clingy, even. So, when he suddenly stopped giving her the attention she craved and had come to expect as a given, she was pissed. Sure, she had her little boyfriends to serve as a substitute, but that's all they were-a ( ... )

(OOC: XD It's fine. You know more about Flynn than I do about Grace, but that's half the fun of dressing rooms. Getting to play with and discover new characters and fandoms. And this set up is absolutely perfect!

All you need to know about Flynn is that he's a kind young man who's too nice for his own good. His major vices are bieng too much of a stickler for the rules and not being able to cook to save his soul.)

Flynn loved his sister dearly. Unlike Grace however, Flynn's affection WAS pure and genuine. None of her boyfriends were ever quite up to Flynn's high standards, and even when he had punished himself like this he had always looked out for her. So if anything was going to tear Flynn away from his studies, it was his sister's tears.

"Grace...?" Knowing instantly that something was wrong, Flynn quickly got up from his seat and sat both of them down on the edge of his bed. He gently took her hand in one of his, while the other wiped the tears from her eyes and moved a few strands of hair out of her face. "Hey.... what's wrong

Perfect. He was responding exactly like she had intended-not that she had expected otherwise, but it was always good to be ready for when things didn't go according to plan. She sat on the edge of the bed when he guided her there, staring down at her lap and only looking up at him when he took her hand. When he lifted a hand to brush away her tears, inwardly, she thrilled; outwardly, she bit her lip, looking like the very picture of innocent femininity.

She shifted a little, the hem of her chemise-delicate, thin, and white-riding up slightly. She had mostly chosen that attire to make it look like she had at least been preparing to go to bed, but there was always that little part of her that wanted to make him look at her, not as his kid sister, but as a woman. Sure, she was slender and lacking the full figure that some girls her age had, but she was sixteen now. She was far from a little girl anymore, and her body reflected that ( ... )

Flynn had noticed the changes to his darling sister's body, but to him, all it meant was that he needed to look out for her more. Flynn had been 16 five years ago, he knew what that age was like. Even he had been through his share of girlfriends.

Of course, when Grace told him about her breakup his eyes widened in shock, instantly believing her. Why would his baby sister lie to him after all? He tightened his grip on her hand out of sympathy and anger at this idiotic John boy. He quickly pulled her closer in an apologetic embrace.

"Grace," he whispered sympathetically, his studies now completely forgotten. "I'm so sorry! That's awful!"

Remember when they were cousins? Yeah... :) ninjainviolet September 5 2011, 13:51:58 UTC
Sheena really wasn't trying to be sneaky. She had seen the light on under his door, and concerned, knocked. When she didn't get an answer, she had opened the door quietly, expecting him to be asleep. Now, she closed that door just as quietly so she wouldn't wake her aunt.

"Flynn, don't tell me you've been studying all this time," she said, spotting the book. She had noticed the change in him and was worried. "Come on, you need to go to bed."

Flynn gave a patient sigh, but didn't turn around.

"I will in a moment," he promised his favorite cousin. "I just need to finish this chapter. Anyway, you should go to bed too. Don't you have to be up early tomorrow?"

Sheena wasn't fooled for a second. He was avoiding eye contact with her, and she knew why. "You've been studying for hours, Flynn. You need to take a break and rest--or all that work won't mean a thing." She came up behind him and wrapped her arms around him, laying her chin on his shoulder.

"I can go to sleep once you do," she said, her voice growing softer as her embrace became tighter. "I'm worried about you. Really worried."

Thinking about that thread inspired me to do this post XD divine_streak September 6 2011, 01:13:42 UTC
Flynn sighed sadly as she draped herself over him. He really was tired, and she had caught on to that. He felt guilty too. He didn't want to worry his cousin, but he was too stubborn to admit that he was only human.

"I can't," he said, the fatigue in his voice coming to the fore. "I need to take care of you and mother, but I can't do that if I don't get better at school. I know it sounds bad, but it's something I have to endure."

His aunt came to a halt, painted toes pausing on the floor before tiptoeing even further forward to peer over his shoulder, putting a cup of steaming tea onto his desk. "I would not hawe expected anything less." It had always been a source of great amusement that Pasha had been born as Flynn's aunt despite being three month younger than him and five times more immature despite her academic brilliance ( ... )

Flynn had always been close to his younger Aunt. He admired her for being smarter than he could ever hope to be, and was always there to bail her out of trouble. She was one of the few people even in the family Flynn allowed himself to be more casual and less formal around, often referring to her by the nickname 'auntie'. A name he had often teased her with when they were kids.

"I'm just finishing this chapter," he laughed as she pressed her cheek against his. He reached up to gently take hold of her hand and made a kissing sound without actually kissing her cheek. "If I don't before bed, then that's one more thing I'll have to do tomorrow, and then I'll never catch up with you in school."

"Flynn, I don't know if you hawe looked at the clock, but it is tomorrow." The girl pointed out, extending her arm with her glow in the dark watch on it which was showing it to be the late hours of the morning. Pasha twisted her face in half-concern and half-irritation. "You're going to be exhausted in the morning." She gently scolded. "And as for catching up with me, wery few people can. Ewen the lecturer is asking me to T.A. next year." She gave him a little squeeze, some of her long curly hair falling over his shoulder.

"Just because your mom is out, don't think that means you can get away with working yourself all night." She told him with a raised eyebrow. "I know you better than most, you can't fool me like you can your mom."

"It's that late?" Flynn asked in surprise when he saw his aunt's watch. He turned to his bedside table and saw that his clock radio confirmed the time his aunt was showing him. He wanted to argue with her, to tell her that all his effort was for her and her sister, but something changed. He felt exhausted. It was as if all the effort he had been putting into his studies had finally caught up with him. Flynn may have been stubborn, but he wasn't stupid. He knew that if he burnt himself out, he wouldn't be able to help somebody.

"All right auntie," he sighed in defeat, giving her hand a squeeze. "I'll call it a night."

"Awww, Onii-chan, I wanted to surprise you! I thought I was being pretty quiet, too."

Misa came up beside him with a slice of cheesecake on a plate.

"I thought you might want a snack. I made this for you earlier."

One thing that should be mentioned is that Misa was in nothing but a thin, white tank top and black panties. Her nipples wear easily visible through the top and they were just the slightest bit erect.

Setting the plate down on his desk, she pulls his head into a hug, inadvertently pressing him against her large breasts.

"You work so hard. If you ever need anything, you just let me know. I'll take care of you."

Ah, Misa. His darling sister. Flynn would easily do anything for his beautiful younger sibling. He would never admit it, but Flynn had recently started to see the girl as more than just a sibling. He had noticed just how beautiful she had become, and against his better judgement, had started to fall in love with her. He knew that this was wrong though, and he was terrified that he would lose the Misa who had been his best friend since they were both children if he ever told her so. And so, part of the reason he worked so hard was to hide and distract himself from thoughts of her ( ... )

Misa had always loved her older brother very much. As a little girl, she used to say she's marry him when they were grown up. They had even played house together and ironically, their play times were just like this - he working hard while she brought him food. She would kiss him, as children sometimes did, but one day he refused the kiss and soon the games stopped altogether. Misa wondered what went wrong but once she got older, she assumed he didn't want to be kissing his sister. Not in the way she wanted, anyway ( ... )

Flynn had ended the games for fear of his sister being ridiculed by society. He knew how siblings that fell in love were mocked and considered outcasts and freaked. He wanted better than that for his sister, and was perfectly willing to sacrifice his own happiness to make sure she got it. However, no matter how many times he tried to convince himself that falling in love with his sister was a bad idea, it never worked. Flynn had nothing but happy memories of the days where the two of them had pretended to be husband and wife, and he had realized that he dearly wanted those games to become reality.

"Oh yes," he laughed at the memory, still blushing as she held him. "I remember that. You took care of me even then. You were a sweetand wonderful girl then, and you're a sweet and wonderful young woman now."
