Sheena really wasn't trying to be sneaky. She had seen the light on under his door, and concerned, knocked. When she didn't get an answer, she had opened the door quietly, expecting him to be asleep. Now, she closed that door just as quietly so she wouldn't wake her aunt.

"Flynn, don't tell me you've been studying all this time," she said, spotting the book. She had noticed the change in him and was worried. "Come on, you need to go to bed."

Flynn gave a patient sigh, but didn't turn around.

"I will in a moment," he promised his favorite cousin. "I just need to finish this chapter. Anyway, you should go to bed too. Don't you have to be up early tomorrow?"

Sheena wasn't fooled for a second. He was avoiding eye contact with her, and she knew why. "You've been studying for hours, Flynn. You need to take a break and rest--or all that work won't mean a thing." She came up behind him and wrapped her arms around him, laying her chin on his shoulder.

"I can go to sleep once you do," she said, her voice growing softer as her embrace became tighter. "I'm worried about you. Really worried."

Flynn sighed sadly as she draped herself over him. He really was tired, and she had caught on to that. He felt guilty too. He didn't want to worry his cousin, but he was too stubborn to admit that he was only human.

"I can't," he said, the fatigue in his voice coming to the fore. "I need to take care of you and mother, but I can't do that if I don't get better at school. I know it sounds bad, but it's something I have to endure."

If he was too stubborn to admit it, then Sheena would say it for him. "You're only human, Flynn. You can only do so much." She moved in front of him and closing the book, perched on the edge of his desk to force him to look at her.

"Take care of us? Is that what this is all about? Oh, Flynn." She leaned her head to his. "We'll be okay. You need to worry about yourself first right now."

"Sheena!" Flynn exclaimed in annoyance as she caused him to lose his place in his textbook. While at first his expression was angry, he found that harder and harder to keep up. At her words, she finally caused him to realize what she and others had been trying to for what seemed like forever: he was tired. All at once Flynn began to feel the effects of his over-exertions that his stubborness had numbed him to and it was exhausting.

As he sat there with his head against hers, he tried to give another sigh, but all that came out was a dry laugh as he realized that his cousin had beaten him for what seemed like the thousandth time.

"One of these days I'm going to beat you in an argument," he said wryly, "but it's not going to be at one o'clock in the morning after I've been studying all day. Okay cousin, you win. Again."

"Flynn!" she replied in the same tone of voice. She knew what was bothering him. "Don't look at me like that. You can always look at it later," she said, "it's not going anywhere." Seeing his expression and body language change, she held him tight, knowing that he finally saw in himself what she had seen.

She smiled in response to his chuckle, even returning it at his comment. "You can try, Flynn. Any time, any where." She pulled back and met his eyes with hers. "Except now. At one in the morning, you should be in bed. So, as the winner, do I get to tuck you in myself?"

[ooc: Just curious. Did you want to continue their "close relationship" from the last thread, or make this a new one?]

Flynn chuckled as she flirted with him. He rose from his chair and took her by the hand so she stood with him.

"Only if you stay with me a bit longer. You helped me realize just how stupid I've been. I need to thank you properly."

Sheena couldn't help flirting with him. They had always been close, and several months ago, had become even closer. She gripped his hand lightly as she stood, a small smile on her face.

"I think that can be arranged," she said, squeezing his hand gently.

"Mmm..." he hummed a little misceviously as he wrapped his free arm around her waist and pulled her against him. Taking a second to look in her eyes with his own love-filled ones, Flynn closed them before pressing his lips to hers in a deeply passionate kiss.

Sheena knew what was coming and was ready for him, meeting him halfway with her lips already parted for him. Exerting just the right amount of pressure, she managed to guide him to the bed and gently push him on to it without breaking the kiss once.

Also without breaking the kiss, Flynn pulled his cousin onto the bed with him, rolling them so he was on top of her. He straddled her as he continued the kiss, running a hand through her hair so as to free it from it's usual ponytail.

Sheena made a surprised sound that turned into a chuckle as he turned the tables on her. Not that she was complaining; far from it. She was enjoying the feel of his hand in her hair and returned the gesture, running her own fingers through his blond locks while bringing him even closer.

Flynn made a pleased sound and moved his head slightly into her touch. He loved the feel of her hands in his hair, and made no effort to hide it. With her locks freed of their bindings, it was time to free the rest of her body. Flynn brought his hands down, gently caressing her body until arriving at the hem of her shirt. Slowly, he began to peel it up and off of her.

Loving the feel of his soft strands sliding over her fingers, she continued running her hands through his hair. Feeling his hands move down her body, she rolled lightly against him, her leg wrapping about his and caressing slowly. Feeling the cooler air begin to hit her body, she moaned lightly into the kiss as the goosebumps formed along her skin.

With more of her beautiful skin revealed, Flynn appreciated it with his hands, having them glide over the smooth surface. He moaned into the kiss at the feel of her leg wrapping around his. He moved his leg against hers in response, loving the sensation he got from their well-toned bodies rubbing against each other.
