Cassandra exchanged a glance with Chloe, who gave her a small nod to tell her that the meeting had gone well enough. Then Cassandra responded to Faith. "I can't speak to jacuzzis, but I'm sure that drinks with little umbrellas exist somewhere. Or if they don't, that we can introduce that innovation

Jon moved to the side slightly as the jeep pulled up and nodded to the soldier behind the wheel, effectively dismissing him. Turning sideways to incorporate the others, he'd just finished asking his question when the others arrived. His gaze moved from one to the other, to the other-- and when Faith called him 'Flyboy', his expression shifted towards puzzled again. He hadn't flown in... okay. Not in this body.. at all.
"Flyboy..."
Glancing at the others as they did their circle chat of 'let's leave things out', Jon waited until he just couldn't stand it anymore, and again began, "Did you--" in a more than slightly irritated tone. Okay, probably more frustrated, but there was that feeling that there was just something he wasn't getting. Not unusual for him, certainly, but that didn't mean he liked it

Xander watched the slow, considering smirk that came over Faith's features at the announcement that General Jack O'Neill was close by, relatively speaking, and began the mental countdown, In three, two, one -
"Wow, a two-for," Faith purred appreciatively. Her eyes moved over Jon's body, leaving tracks from head to toe and leaving absolutely no doubt as to what her thoughts on the perusal were.
Xander almost -- almost -- felt sorry for the "young" man. Only almost though because Jon wasn't nearly as young as he looked, and if anyone could hold their own against Faith's advances -- if she was serious about it -- it would be Jon.
"Classified, got it," Xander nodded. He wanted to reassure the man that they had no intention of blabbing about his origins. It wouldn't net them any gain, and they had no reason to want to out him.
Though that whole lieutenant thing really probably has to chafe, Xander thought. He looked around again, noted the marines holding the perimeter in a relaxed but alert fashion. "So, is -- Lt. O'Neill -- gonna

Jon ducked his head slightly in Faith's words, though he was smart enough not to ask her to elaborate on the subject. He wasn't stupid, nor was he completely blind; so when the newly re-arrived woman began the ... assessment, the 'junior' O'Neill cleared his throat and shifted slightly in his position, his attention moving to fall completely on Xander. He'd have to work that one out, though it did make him wonder about the Jon they knew and--
No, not going there, though he would have to ask Xander about it later... the nature of their friendship, if it was even that at all, with these other hims. That entire line of thought, however, was more than enough to start the dull throbs of a headache, and that was something he'd much rather avoid

Jon's manner and demeanor shifted at the Captain's approach. The atmosphere around them shifted with him, light currents of air swirling and whispering into their ears to underscore what Xander could see with his one good eye. It wasn't just Jon's shift from relaxed to standing at attention, but also a virtual handwave that said the previous conversation was over, however temporarily.
That alone told Xander that Captain Boone wasn't party to information regarding Jon's originationThe next words out of the man's mouth took Xander -- and his companions, if the looks that washed over the women's faces were any indication -- by surprise

~We have not slept in too long, Ronald. At least forgive yourself that little slip. You might have to explain, though.~
At Faith's admonition, Ron looked to Jon and nodded in recognition of the salute. "It's alright, Leftenant" he said it quietly, not really ashamed that Faith had pointed out his faux pas.
"I'm sorry, you remind me of a man I knew, Xander was his name too. But he wasn't from ..." he looked between everyone and sighed softly, then continued in an extremely quiet voice "he wasn't from this universe."
Dark eyes warned that was all he'd say in explanation, except "he was a very good man and a confident. It will be good to get to know you instead." He proffered Xander a hand.

There was 'Flyboy' again... If she didn't stop that, he'd have explaining to do, undoubtedly. He wasn't known much for being a pilot around here...
At Boone's word, Jon exhaled as his position shifted to more of a casual 'parade rest', one hand behind him, one forward and relaxed on his weapon. His gaze shifted from the captain to the rest of the crew, landing on Xander, and there it remained for a moment.
Setting his expression to a somewhat suitable neutral, he'd learned yet one more thing today, and that was the Captain had some experience with the whole universe-jumping thing. Go figure. Was there anyone around who didn't somehow experience the wonder that was trying to figure out what the HELL was going on in someone else's universe while having to work on fixing the mess that was going on in their own?"Begging the Captain's pardon," Rarely, as far as Jack was concerned, did this bode well. (Wheels within wheels,) Cassandra thought watching the interplay between her group and the locals. Clearly not everyone was on the same page here. Jon's behavior said as clearly as if he'd spoken it aloud that Boone didn't know he was a clone of General O'Neill

Jon's request to be dismissed seemed just a little too formal given Ron's experience with any of the O'Neill's he'd dealt with. But no less true. "Of course, and I'm sure you need to finish your debriefing." A gesture indicated that Ron was happy for Jon and his detail to leave.
Turning to Cassandra he continued "now would be good. I have to attend myself, so I'll take you."
"Bobby" he called to the perimeter "Keep the gawkers away, and we'll be back in a bit."

Albeit a Xander with only one eye. "What happened, Xan?" he asked, without thinking.
Oh, he KNEW Xander... well, A Xander... and... that would have to be a story for another time.
Except in his tiredness, he'd just revealed that somehow he knew one of the refugees.
Oh well, just a handful of other questions that need answers.
