Xander watched the slow, considering smirk that came over Faith's features at the announcement that General Jack O'Neill was close by, relatively speaking, and began the mental countdown, In three, two, one -

"Wow, a two-for," Faith purred appreciatively. Her eyes moved over Jon's body, leaving tracks from head to toe and leaving absolutely no doubt as to what her thoughts on the perusal were.

Xander almost -- almost -- felt sorry for the "young" man. Only almost though because Jon wasn't nearly as young as he looked, and if anyone could hold their own against Faith's advances -- if she was serious about it -- it would be Jon.

"Classified, got it," Xander nodded. He wanted to reassure the man that they had no intention of blabbing about his origins. It wouldn't net them any gain, and they had no reason to want to out him.

Though that whole lieutenant thing really probably has to chafe, Xander thought. He looked around again, noted the marines holding the perimeter in a relaxed but alert fashion. "So, is -- Lt. O'Neill -- gonna get the fun of guarding us the whole time or did you ladies," Xander focused on Chloe and Faith, "Work out some details that maybe you want to share with the class?"

It seemed like rubbing salt in a wound to call him by rank, but on the other hand, Xander wasn't going to call him Jon until Jon told them to call him Jon. Temporarily it was also a stop gap that reminded him that this wasn't the man who'd become his friend, if only for a short while.
