Good morning, Barge. [Hint: It's definitely not morning.] It is I, your absent leader Tony Stark, addressing you from the great beyond. [He takes a sip of his gin and tonic, swirls the ice in the glass, and sets it down. Looking squarely into the camera, he clasps his hands and leans forward just slightly ( Read more... )

It's not morning, Mr. Stark. [Yeah, it's been that kind of week, Tony. You're the cherry on top of it.] And for your information, no you haven't missed any ports since the last one.

Bela's... [Wait, a minute now, she's actually. Not been around. Uh oh. Yeah, he's going to check her door now.]

...it certainly feels like morning. Long night at the pub. [His smile is a bit more strained now, but he still maintains his smugness until Banner doesn't finish his statement. Suddenly, everything seems more serious.]

...Bela's what, Bruce? You told me you'd take care of her.

I know what I said, all right! But in case you haven't realized it, you've been gone for a while, and things happened. She was put in Zero last I checked over some. Weird power surge thing and I was stuck trying to help Gabriel and.

[Jogging down the stairs now. Also yeah he's now feeling guilty for his minor breakdown with the last flood. Thanks Tony.]

[Tony waits patiently while Bruce jogs, but he's obviously getting a little red in the face from worry.]

...I'm sure she'll turn up.

How kind of you to grace us with your presence.

Bela went on a bit of a rampage, was deposited in zero, and has since vanished. Good luck locating her, Mr. Stark. I believe you'll need it.

Specify on the rampage in question, Irene.

[She rolls her eyes, but does as she's bid.] Lately there's been a peculiar temporary transfer of powers to those who aren't generally so gifted. Bela was on the receiving end. She went a bit... well, you know how she can be. [BRB SMIRKING FOREVER]

[Oh, hello, Tony. Stark Industries vs. Veidt Enterprises, y/y?]

Welcome back to the Barge, sir. If the last thing you remember is an asthmatic gentlemen's tongue then I assume you missed the animal flood. It was exactly what it sounds like and relatively uneventful.

Adrian Veidt, by the way. I don't believe we've met.

[Y/Y!]

Animal flood. [He runs a hand across his face with a mild groan and then plucks his glass off the desk, downing the entire contents, ice aside.]

Adrian Veidt, it's a pleasure. Tony Stark, Stark Industries. You're an inmate. How long have you been here?

Veidt Enterprises. We must be from different worlds.

You're very clever to assume I'm an inmate, and correctly too. I've been here for one month and four days, Mr. Stark.

While cleverness comes naturally to the Stark family, I'm afraid it's a whole night's research accounting for that particular discovery.

We must be. I assume Veidt Enterprises is sizable -- as is Stark Industries. I've only met one woman aboard who's heard of my company.

Call me Tony.

YAY! I joined TLV to get more of you and now you're back! :D farsees July 19 2010, 02:51:57 UTC
How very responsible of you.

I'm absolved of any responsibility; I didn't have a choice in the matter of my disappearance. Accountability would trickle down to the Admiral, and I don't know about you, but blaming virtual non-entities doesn't generally make me feel better.

As charming as pretending to care enough to be condescending is, I'm really only talking to you right now so I can ask where you got the alcohol. Apparently the kitchen doesn't just give it out to people my age, warden or not.

Good morning, Tony! I think your clock's a bit off.

And I'm not sure we had a vote.

...Did I miss a vote?

the_ironman July 19 2010, 20:27:38 UTC
So it is! I don't know your name, sweetheart -- but I'd like to.

No vote necessary. It was a hostile takeover; there was nothing you could've done. Take comfort in that.
