Tonight I make my debut with Run Like Hell - my first gig since I shattered the elbow in May. Wish me luck.

Yesterday's post on Neil Gaiman's journal includes a cartoon of Neil playing drums. Which is, on the one hand, seriously cool. But on the other hand, I can't help but look at the kit setup and think, wrong! Would any non-drummers even notice

My brain knew it looked wrong, but couldn't figure out why. It looks all back to front somehow?

I'm not a drummer, so couldn't pinpoint to you exactly what IS wrong, but it certainly doesn't look right. Looks a pretty uncomfortable setup, in fact.

TBF he does mention that even when he was in a band he wasn't a drummer. And I guess the cartoonist wasn't either.

I could tell you what was wrong but then I'd have to tell you a drummer joke....
