Kate's busy pouring mojitos when Magnus puts her back to her and asks for help with her sunscreen. It's good she is, the mojitos, otherwise she might be choking on her tongue. Yeah, she's gotten used to Magnus being warmer, happy, open, even flirting. But the voluntary touching is still weird. "Yeah, sure. Turn around

When he came out of the tree line to the beach, he was very, very glad he had decided to head out today. Even from a distance he could recognize both Kate and Dr. Magnus and while he wasn't going to ogle, he certainly wasn't upset that he'd run across them.
"Hello, ladies!" he said, grinning and waving as he headed over to them, hoping he wasn't disturbing anything.

"Having a pleasant day?"

"Although you have your top on this time, that's a little disappointing. And I promise, Kate, they were all very bad trees that had it coming to them."

She doubted that this particular romance novel would have been high on Kate's priority list but she could always be wrong.

"Not much of a romance girl, anyway. I don't read Playgirl for the letters."

"Good run, then? Or just a necessary evil?"

She's actually surprised Magnus isn't fussing at him already, but she reaches for the water and pours him some. "Hey." She holds out a cup. "You should drink this." See, doc? I can actually care about other people sometimes.

He found himself wondering if Nikola would be envious of him for this view.

When it came to distractions, he couldn't get better than two gorgeous bathing suit clad women. The fact that Kate Freelander was one of them was even better.
"Hello, Kate," he said, smiling as he jobbed up to them. "Dr. Magnus."

"Hello. It's Aidan, isn't it?"

She grins at him and holds up the book to compare him to the cover, then glances back over her shoulder at Magnus who's still smoothing sunscreen over Kate's back. "What do you think, doc? Could he pose if we write a book?"

"And I've never been in the modern military. Although I do think I looked pretty good in everything from the homespun uniforms of the Minutemen, to the Union Army, to World War II Allied dress."

"Oh, not on the beach..." House groaned as the dog bounded off of the boardwalk. And watched in dismay as he ran toward two figures in the distance. Though he could make out that they were women in bathing suits, so at least the dog had good taste.
Fucker, meanwhile, bounded up to Kate and gave her a big doggy grin, running in circles in the sand.

"Hey, Fucker." Kate tries not to sound resentful as she holds out her hand for the dog. It's not his fault she's the asshole who can't promise exclusivity, tried to sleep with one of her best friend's best friends and couldn't because of the other best friend she's not promising exclusivity to (yet, yet, she's going to soon; maybe when she finishes the dress).
Maybe she'll get lucky and Greg's not around. Yeah, no. There he is now, up on the boardwalk walking toward them. Maybe he won't be a dick about it. Nah. She's just not that girl.

Helen eyed it warily. She was decidedly a cat person and while a friendly dog was hardly something to worry about on this island of dinosaurs and other...denizens she still wasn't terribly inclined to pet it.

Maybe if she's petting and kissing his dog, Greg won't notice she's here? Yeah, not likely.
