Adrian had worn a mask many times in his life before. He no longer possessed such a thing on the Island, but he had fashioned something similar and wore the wreaths of his Ozymandias suit upon his golden hair. The cape was drawn with him in order to create an imposing air, but the suit was made of something like velvet and he was quite pleased to be amidst people and to be simply...unknown.

He was Ozymandias and he was Adrian Veidt and he was something in between. It suited him.

Capa wasn't wearing much of a costume, but someone had draped some kind of vine over his shoulders when he'd walked by and he was toying with the end as he meandered through the crowd. Parties weren't enjoyable to him, but the distraction was nice and as he skirted his way around a tree, he paused, spotting Adrian. Even with the mask and the cape, Capa recognized him and he smiled awkwardly and lifted one hand in a wave.

Adrian was calm and perhaps more clinical in a costume than he would be as simply himself, but he found his way over to Capa and bowed his head in proper greeting. "You're bearing quite a noteworthy piece of foliage," he observed. "I have many of the kind in my New York home. I find them excellent for large walls."

"Oh," Capa said with a soft laugh, flipping the end of the vine up absently. "I guess they weren't happy that I showed up without a costume and someone decided to fix it." He wasn't even sure who it was who'd done it to him, but he supposed it didn't matter.

"You look... is that what you looked like before?" he asked.

Daisy's found shimmer and glitter and has dabbed it all over her cheeks in an effort to make herself shine. It's not like death and decay will push through and tell everyone just what she is, but it feels good to be shining of gold and not the lights of the great hereafter. She's in a silly little costume that reminds her of Marilyn Monroe as her hair curls and the glitter falls everywhere with every step she takes.

She doesn't have to be Death tonight, though. She's only living.

"I love your dress." Jo pushed the mask up on her head so she could check if the glitter she could see around the woman was really there. "We sort of match." Since Jo was wearing white and gold.

Daisy turns and offers a small and lazy smile, one that comes of having been an observer of people for so long and finding them all just so adorable in their human condition. "Well, now, I suppose we do," Daisy drawls and fluffs her curls. "Easy to do with whites, really. Whites and blacks, the old go-tos."

"Black's not so good in this heat and white doesn't stay white very often." Jo liked colours mostly. "But there are more interesting things to do than stay clean," she added with a smile.

Jane's costume was not, perhaps, the most incredible or creative. In fact, it was nothing more than a dress made for a century one before hers and she wore her corset and her stockings as she would anyday. She had left Liddy in the care of Doctor Chase, who did not want to be involved in such a party and then she had bound a mask to her face in order to join the lavish delight.

If Jane's costume was not particularly extravagant, neither was Combeferre's. His outfit resembled the costume a gentleman would have worn to a party in his own time more than it did something a member of any fairy court would wear. Thom had left his side to mingle with the crowd, and so he, too, went looking for familiar faces. He smiled as he approached Jane. "You look lovely tonight, Miss Bennet. It's quite the interesting party we have here, isn't it?"

Jane bowed her head in polite greeting to Monsieur Combeferre, knowing that she was to adhere to all her duties as a Lady as her Mama had taught her. "I do not think I had expected to see quite so much wildness as I do before my eyes," she admitted, utterly frank in her admittance. "Though it is not horrid. Rather, surprising!"

"We do seem to have been descended upon by maenads, don't we?" he mused, looking around at the press of bodies and the sheen of bare skin. As mad as the island sometimes was, this was something altogether new. The scene before them really did look like something out of a tale of Bacchus of the sort Grantaire would tell. He could even imagine in the crowd that he saw the sparkle of the Green Fairy that his old friend would surely have added to such a story. "But all has been done for the sake of good cheer. I cannot fault anyone for enjoying themselves so."

Robin Scherbatsky did not do costumes on Halloween. That said, she did do her best to look as hot as she possibly could and tonight was kind of along those lines. So, it was a fluffy little dress that Little Bo Peep might wear if she was kind of loose with the other shepherds and she bound her hair in a long braid down her back after affixing the mask.

Yeah, maybe it was a bit innocent for her tastes, but some guys went for that.

"You're fluffy," Lennox commented cheerfully when he spotted Robin, then adjusted the crown on his head. The crown that meant he got to be a total fucker all night and make people do embarrassing shit that they might not otherwise do. This whole Midsummer thing was great.

"I went a little old Testament," he joked, posing in the nude underwear he'd found and glued a cut out leaf to the front and back of. There was glitter, mostly because he thought there had to be, and a mask with a snake curving over top one of his eyes.

"I'm pretty sure that me in a sexy half-slutty dress isn't so much a costume as like, Saturday night," Robin teased lightly as she took a step back to get the full picture. She let out a catcall of a whistle and grinned widely. "Well look at you, hot stuff. To what do I owe the occasion of your presence before me?"

"I'm part of the Fairy Court," Lennox answered smugly, as if it was some great honour. He actually thought it was pretty damn cool that he was given a crown and could order people around. "Although they didn't exactly tell me to wear my underwear, but I did that anyway."

Buck's not exactly sure what to make of this shindig. Everyone seems pleased and he's pretty sure he might have seen familiar faces (but even that's a lost cause seeing as everyone's dressed up in their own strange little fare and the masks aren't helping). He's starting to think they ought to do a 'flash' 'thunder' method of greeting, but he just shakes his head and laughs ruefully at the thought.

Enjoying the party is the next option and he's got a healthy glass of alcohol in his hand, so he's getting started on a good night.

Saffron didn't even bother with a greeting when she saw Buck. She just went right up to him, smiled seductively from beneath her butterfly-like mask as her arms went around his neck, and laid one on him, a nice good one. If he couldn't figure out who she was by the way she kissed, Saffron was going to need to refresh her skill in leaving an impression.

Buck's really not going to complain about this party if it's the kind where he just needs to stand around and it gets him kissed like that. And hell, it's been a while since they've been kissing like that, but it's still stuck in his mind enough that he becomes a supplicant in the kiss before easing away and grinning dazedly. "I'm pretty sure that's not how most people say hello," he drawls.

"I'm not most people," Saffron murmured, a little bit giddy herself on account of it had been some time since she'd kissed Buck good and proper. All it took was that one for her to remember how much she enjoyed it. "Interested in winning a token from this fairy queen?"
