House had rather been hoping that the new mother and her squealing infant would be gone by the time he had clinic duty on Sunday, and whereas he wasn't so lucky, it did seem that they were getting ready to go

Marian had been looking for Chase, the clinic seemed a good place to start. Seeing the ornery doctor looking decidedly uncomfortable with a newborn made her mouth twitch into a smile. "I'm sure he's just as afraid of you, as you are of him," Marian said lightly, remembering something her father had told her of wild beasts.
House looked up at the unfamiliar woman, regarding her distastefully. "I'm not afraid of him. It's not like he's got acid in his spit like those dinosaurs in Jurassic Park."
"From what?" Marian looked utterly confused. "I'e no idea what that is, but acid in his spit I do, and you're holding him as such. Have you never held babies?"
She barely gave him a choice, approaching and holding out her arms. "I will take him if you'd like."
"Of course I've held babies," House said irritably. "I'm a doctor. But if you're the baby type, have at it." He didn't think Tink would mind. He transferred the kid carefully to her. It didn't seem to mind.
Cameron stood in the doorway and gaped a little bit, giving herself the luxury of it. After all, he couldn't really do much than bitch at her for it now. She bit back a grin.
"And here I was about to be really impressed by your boyfriend," said Cameron. She came forward, but stopped at the desk, sitting on the edge. "It's just one of those things... but I'm sure you've got a good grasp on the irony of the situation already."
The thing he'd killed was successfully butchered and tossed in the freezer and he'd sent Padfoot home after the thrill of abusing the teeny Corgi had worn off. Next order of business...the clinic.
Jack walked in and leaned the rifle against the wall near the door. "And here I thought you didn't want to be creepy uncle Greg," he teased. "Where's his mom?"
"Back there," House muttered. "Changing. And I have no intentions of having anything further to do with this kid as soon as she takes him off my hands."
Cuddy blinked in surprise. It was all she could do at first, just stare at the sight of House..holding a baby. And it couldn't be his, or one that he had anything to do with because..well, she'd have heard something about it.
"I'll skip the jokes and ask if you'd like a hand," she said, crossing from the doorway towards the exam table.

He was noticing a theme for the day.
"What did she name him again?"
Reply
"Teddy Sirius," he said in answer to the question, remembering only because of the Sirius part, and because the first name was so stupid.
