Cameron stood in the doorway and gaped a little bit, giving herself the luxury of it. After all, he couldn't really do much than bitch at her for it now. She bit back a grin.
"And here I was about to be really impressed by your boyfriend," said Cameron. She came forward, but stopped at the desk, sitting on the edge. "It's just one of those things... but I'm sure you've got a good grasp on the irony of the situation already."
"I was going to say eating it, actually," said Cameron, and smiled easily, folding her arms across her chest. "Does he belong to the pink-haired woman? Tonks?"
Cameron's smile broadened, though it was less sharp around the edges now, more typical Cameron expression. "Talk about things I would have never expected. Does this mean you're switching to OBGYN?"
"With all these scientists around, I don't see why we don't have... well, pagers. Or something less refined, so that you could actually have called Dr. Addison." Cameron made no move to take the baby from him. "Do we have walkie-talkies?"
Cameron nodded, still smiling a little bit, more to herself. "But really? We don't have any sort of... on call system? Nothing to page each other?" She stared thoughtfully at the floor. "I guess I'm just spitballing, but I'd think it was a good idea."
