[It was already seven o'clock. the sun has set and the streets were deserted. down the empty road, a short straight-fringed girl can be seen standing in the corner. hands posed upon a polished door knob leading to a small apartment. she seems to be hesitating, though]

[ It's Friday night, and you know what Iceland do on Friday night? That's right. T- t- time to get down, except not to a bunga-bunga party and most definitely not with Berlusconi. No, she's heading towards the nearest bar. It's still early, but early bird gets the most fun, right? Not that she'd tell anyone about her intention. She was currently walking down the street in a pretty, sky blue summer dress with a matching, darker blue jacket and white flip-flops. If you know her, you'll realise that it's uncharacteristic of her to wear pretty outfits.

The empty street rather...bothered her, though. No, she's not scared, what are you talking about. But she just keeps on walking, only stopping when she noticed something...in the corner. Her first thought was to continue walking and pretend that she saw nothing. But she's curious.

-> Matoi: There's a pale, silver-haired, blue-eyed girl standing in a fair distance, staring at you. It seems like she doesn't see you yet because you're obscured by the darkness around you. What do? ]

[she hasn't noticed Iceland for quite a long while, and now she awkwardly bows her head down in greeting]

Is something wrong?

[ The...thing in the corner. It talked! To her, nevertheless! Cue horrified look, and for a moment, it looked like as if she was about to scream. But then, the gods of musebox declares that the darkness should be lifted and she should be able to see the other girl, so that's what happens. The Nation saw that the thing in the dark corner was actually another girl with short black hair. She sighed in relief and quickly straightened up herself. ]

Nothing. [ For someone who looked horrified a few moments ago, her voice and expression was terribly calm, almost monotone, even. ] I thought that you was...someone I know.

[ Lies, of course. She thought that Matoi was, you know, one of the things that go bump in the night. Not that she still believed those kinds of things, since those kinds of things are for kids, not grown-up Nations like her! ]

I see. Do you mind if we talk for a bit?

[In case you didn't know, in the later chapter of the series, Matoi's school has established a system of skipping grades for elite training. And she's one of the early graduates (not). So here comes the social grade skipping~]

[ Arthur was on a hunting trip when he noticed that he was lost. Not that he would ever admit it, because, you know, princes don't get lost, especially in their own kingdom. In fact, he probably knows it like the back of his hand, especially the forest where he usually hunts. The moment he noticed that his surroundings are unfamiliar, he started calling Merlin, and when the idiot of a servant doesn't respond, he started looking for him, only to get even more lost. He had been walking for a while, looking for any sign of a town, or a familiar landmark, or his servant, or anything, really, when he stumbled upon the city. Although he doesn't know that it is a city since the houses and buildings and everything are...unfamiliar. It's not like anything he had seen before.

Still, he draws his sword and entered the city, being as careful as one can be when entering an unfamiliar territory. The streets was indeed deserted, and he didn't met anything along the way, but in Arthur's mind, this could only be interpreted as more trouble. Anyway, ( ... )

[unfortunately for Arthur, Matoi is too busy fussing over the door knob to notice anything amiss , come another day?

(ie: sorry prince, your princess is in another tower!)]

NO. this is seriously hard. ;___; gallanting April 11 2011, 13:29:27 UTC
[ The fact that she didn't notice him only serves to prove his ability in creeping- er, "stalking" the potential enemy. The closer he got, he noticed that it was a girl. Or it seems like a girl. There's always a chance that she's actually a powerful sorceress or something along that line. Fate always got horrible things in store for him, you know, and if it's not because of Merlin, he would have been dead by now. Not that he noticed this, since he's blissfully oblivious to the fact that the other had saved his life multiple times.

Thank god that Matoi was a girl, because he'd already strike her with his sword otherwise. There is no such thing as gender equality in Camelot, thank you very much. But because she of the "weaker gender" (saved by the gender), he's going to try to talk to her. ]

Hello?

[ Believe me when he said this with the derpiest face ever. In contrast to that fine sword he was wielding... ]

[imagine that you are standing by the street, minding your own business. Then suddenly, you bump into your old childhood hero. He or she might be an idol, an artist or a cartoon hero. It differs from people to people. But for Matoi, her childhood hero has always been the prince charming. The (usually) handsome knight on a shining armor that was always ready to save his damsel in distress from the horrible monster and then lead her to a life of happily ever after. IMAGINE. Not the prince charming, the hero part...

Yes, Matoi is too starstruck to form anything coherent for now :/]

[ Well, whatever Matoi's plan is, it's going to be ruined because there's a puffin flying out of nowhere. Actually, her plan would stay intact if only it didn't notice her. ]

Hey! Hey girl! Whatcha doin'? Care to share with your cool bro?

[ Like it or not, he's going to fly closer...noisily. ]

[ You know, he actually got separated from Iceland, but there's a pretty girl! Alone! Who cares about that lame, boring guy. He can go home by himself, anyway. In actuality, the apartment in front of Matoi was Iceland's, but Mr. Puffin was too busy ogling over her to notice that. She's not his type, but a guy could always use some company from the fairer sex, right? ]

What? Whaddya mean by "what"? You don't wanna share with me?

[SILENCE HATH GRACES THE STREET. Not the one to be beaten by a mere bird, Matoi then ruffles around her bag and...ta-da! a paper bag! She gently places it over the puffin's head]

and time to bunga-bunga party with Iceland! cashnotash April 11 2011, 13:00:17 UTC
[ Iceland was taking his nightly walk when he took the wrong turn and ended up near his own apartment. But it's actually a blessing in disguise, since he noticed something...suspicious. Without second thought, he goes to check, and found someone surprisingly familiar on his doorstep. Said girl got her hand on the doorknob. Had it been any other person, he wouldn't think badly of them, but this is Matoi. ]

You. [ Standing behind her, with his arms crossed, and a somewhat-annoyed look on his face. ] What are you doing here?

[ -> Matoi: Congratulations! You'd been caught red-handed by the apartment's owner. What do. ]

[ Well, Iceland thinks she remembered him. If only she said that she doesn't remember him, he would have been grateful and shoo her away, pretending that he'd gotten the wrong person. No one wants to be friends with stalkers, okay? Especially cool people like him. But since she doesn't say it out loud, he'd continue assuming that she remembered him. ]

I see that you'd gotten smarter since the last time we met. [ Sarcasm. ] Tell me, did the parallel universe in question was inside my apartment?

[ Oh no, he doesn't look or sound happy. At all. ]

[Matoi remembers him quite well, actually. After all, it is not everyday that you meet a platinum-blond haired anthropomorphic representation of the nation of Iceland, right? But for now, she will stay quiet]

I don't know.
