It's as easy as 1-2-1-2-3-4

[It was already seven o'clock. the sun has set and the streets were deserted. down the empty road, a short straight-fringed girl can be seen standing in the corner. hands posed upon a polished door knob leading to a small apartment. she seems to be hesitating, though]

Schrodinger’s door...

[ It's Friday night, and you know what Iceland do on Friday night? That's right. T- t- time to get down, except not to a bunga-bunga party and most definitely not with Berlusconi. No, she's heading towards the nearest bar. It's still early, but early bird gets the most fun, right? Not that she'd tell anyone about her intention. She was currently walking down the street in a pretty, sky blue summer dress with a matching, darker blue jacket and white flip-flops. If you know her, you'll realise that it's uncharacteristic of her to wear pretty outfits.

The empty street rather...bothered her, though. No, she's not scared, what are you talking about. But she just keeps on walking, only stopping when she noticed something...in the corner. Her first thought was to continue walking and pretend that she saw nothing. But she's curious.

-> Matoi: There's a pale, silver-haired, blue-eyed girl standing in a fair distance, staring at you. It seems like she doesn't see you yet because you're obscured by the darkness around you. What do? ]

[she hasn't noticed Iceland for quite a long while, and now she awkwardly bows her head down in greeting]

Is something wrong?

[ The...thing in the corner. It talked! To her, nevertheless! Cue horrified look, and for a moment, it looked like as if she was about to scream. But then, the gods of musebox declares that the darkness should be lifted and she should be able to see the other girl, so that's what happens. The Nation saw that the thing in the dark corner was actually another girl with short black hair. She sighed in relief and quickly straightened up herself. ]

Nothing. [ For someone who looked horrified a few moments ago, her voice and expression was terribly calm, almost monotone, even. ] I thought that you was...someone I know.

[ Lies, of course. She thought that Matoi was, you know, one of the things that go bump in the night. Not that she still believed those kinds of things, since those kinds of things are for kids, not grown-up Nations like her! ]

I see. Do you mind if we talk for a bit?

[In case you didn't know, in the later chapter of the series, Matoi's school has established a system of skipping grades for elite training. And she's one of the early graduates (not). So here comes the social grade skipping~]

[ Of course, like her male counterpart, she's not a very social person, doubly so. She's more shy than him. But still, she considered the offer in her mind, weighing the pros and cons for a while, before finally giving the Japanese girl a small nod. ]

Sure. [ It's still early, after all, so she got nothing to lose. She actually wanted to ask Matoi her name, but she's too shy to do so. ] What are you doing?

[ Instead, she chose to indulge her curiosity. ]

Schrodinger’s door. You put your hands on a door knob, and you don’t open the door…there is a possibility that Sensei is in or not.

[cue, a dramatic pause]

There are two parallel worlds that are able to exist at the same time!

Sensei?

[ She doesn't understand what is this crazy manic pixie girl are talking about. Her next words only serves to cement the Nordic's belief that she was, indeed, talking to a cloudcuckoolander. She's just going to turn around and starts to walk away slowly. Iceland's guide to the galaxy: when encountering a mad person, it's best to just ignore them and leave them alone. She doesn't even bother sticking around for the answer to the question she blurted out moments ago. Chase her? ]

[Matoi pops beside her. What is that about being a social grade skipper and a professional stalker?]

[ This time, she really does let out a small shriek of surprise. But she quickly recollects herself, giving the other girl a glare. Iceland doesn't appreciate it when people made her scream. Especially crazy people like Matoi. ]

Well, then I wish you luck with that.

[ In a cold and kind of sarcastic way, and she resumed walking, faster this time. ]

Thank you.

[believe me, she is gonna need all the luck she can get!

She resumes on walking behind Iceland. Don't mind her. It is just her aged-old work habit kicking in]

You're welcome.

[ Brusquely, obviously brushing her off. She assumed that Matoi was going somewhere else, so she's keepin' her cool and carries on. ]

[stalker's rule no.1: be a ninja! Matoi quietly follows Iceland. Curious of her destination, her Schrodinger’s theorem based experimentation abandoned]

[ Unfortunately for Matoi, Iceland can tell that she's being followed. At first, she thought that she was just being paranoid, especially since she'd just encountered a madwoman, but after a (short) while, she was certain of it. Without stopping, she asked: ]

Why are you following me?

[ She may sound like the pinnacle of calmness, but inside, she kind of...freaked out. ]

[to tell you the truth, she herself doesn't know the reason on why she is following her. She is not Sensei. She is just the person Matoi encountered minutes ago. She seemed like a nice lady, though. She asked her about her experiment with the door knob.

Maybe, she just want someone to talk to. It certainly has been awhile since she last talked to someone...her days are usually spent on her fruitless search for Nozomu]

No...reason.

[ Unfortunately, Iceland doesn't appreciate being stalked, much less being followed. Especially since she doesn't really want anyone to find out about her destination. And she asked about the other girl's experiment out of pure curiosity, not because she cares or what. ]

Then stop following me. I don't have any autograph to spare today.

[ Isn't she's just as wonderful as her male counterpart? ]

I don't want your autograph.
