Cars Crashed and Love... Lost?

Note: Don't read if you don't want to hear semi-whiny ramblings about the aftermath of a car crash. I just need to let this out somewhere, why not here?

Aww.

*pats*

I'm glad you're okay and I'm sorry about the girlfriend.

Actually, my girlfriend just phrased it all *Very* poorly. What she actually wants is just for us to spend less time together so she can get a real job, since right now she works once a week. And it turns out that's what she was depressed about, too, and she was avoiding me because she felt bad about what she was going to have to do.

And as for the crash, well, I always wanted to be a stunt guy from Dukes of Hazzard.

Man, near-death experiences happen all the time when you're driving. Try to get past it, because if you let it get to you, it'll really just make you paranoid and probably a worse driver (counter-intuitive, I know, but trust me). I'm a little surprised you haven't had one sooner. I've been in one accident, but I've also fallen asleep at the wheel for a second, and been forced (to avoid getting smashed by a much bigger car) to take a turn too fast, losing control for a second and almost flipping over into a fairly deep ditch -- amongst other incidents that weren't so harrowing but were almost bad. The accident had Katie in the car; when I fell asleep, I ran a stop sign right outside an elementary school; and flipping over, it was very late at night and I probably wouldn't have been found for awhile if something happened, so thank God no one else was there to have gotten hurt ( ... )

Thanks, BV. That's pretty much what my grandfather and my dad told me; to get right back on the horse.

And I think things will work out between me and Shauna. I can deal with seeing her less and all, I was just worried taking a break meant temporarily ending the relationship.
