Late Goodbye | Room 74,240 | Aphro as Needed

As the full moon shone through the clouds above, the entire kingdom of Seyruun seemed to glow under the sliver rays, only further illuminating the stunning white architecture of the city. It was a place of white magic, of goodness and truth, where all were equal and life was happy and prosperous. However, to the usually happy princess of the land, ( Read more... )

Amelia was barely aware of his movement as she held onto him, crying and babbling out repeated apologies. All the other concerns and political implications faded to the back of her mind for now. She just wanted to revel in the moment, pretend it was just the two of them that existed, that nothing else mattered ( ... )

The girl made a contented noise against his lips, holding on tightly as she enjoyed the taste and texture she was experiencing. She whimpered when they had to separate for air, though her eyes were filled with nothing but love and devotion.

"But it's only fair. I don't wish to waste any more precious time, so I want to know how I can show you how much you mean to me." she said softly, nuzzling her face into his shoulder.

"Hmmn..." The cleric thought for a moment, then squeezed Amelia in his hold, kissing her lips again. His eyes closed, letting his forehead rest against hers. "Just hold me, Amelia..." he whispered, a slight red tint to his face. Of all the things she did, the way she clung to him was what he enjoyed most - the feeling of being wanted and needed in such a manner could not compare with anything else.

She let out a happy sigh as the hold tightened and he kissed her again, revelling in the closeness between then. On hearing his request, she smiled warmly, doing as asked. Her arms wrapped around him snuggly hands rubbing his back, curling her body into him as her head rested on his chest.

She had never thought him foolish or dim, and couldn't comprehend why other females had told her to be smarter and go for someone better. Amelia knew she could have her pick of partners if she wanted to use the privilege, but no one would have as big a heart as the man she lay with, she knew that for certain. She was so lucky, how could she ever thing she could just throw such a thing away?

One hand strayed from Amelia's back, and laid on the back of her head, his chin resting on the top of it. He sighed as well, just as content. He was quite thankful for Amelia's stubbornness when it came to ignoring those friends, and for the way their views lined up so well. He always thought he'd save princesses, but he never thought he'd fall for one - much less that she would reciprocate so strongly.

With him being so warm and comfortable, Amelia knew she was going to have a hard time remaining awake for much longer. She knew she was safe in hold, the closness containing both security and affection. There was nothng to worry about while he was with her, at least as long as she woke up before her hand maids tried to enter her room in the morning. Having them come across her door being locked, or worse, actually finding Aldray with her would make things a lot more complicated if she wasn't able to talk to her father first.

Amelia was far from a typical princess, far from being helpless or spoiled as was expectation. It had been so refreshing when Aldray hadn't thought her behaviour undignified for somone of her status, some thinking her rushing around and trying to save people being naive and reckless. The fact that he encouraged her and loved her for it made her heart swell, causing her to snuggle in closer with a sleepy mumble.

That would be a rather awkward way to wake up... All else fails, Aldray could bail off the balcony. Then again, that might not be such a good idea with guards outside. Hopefully, his good luck would hold out.

To be fair, it was naive and reckless - but sometimes, being naive and reckless was what worked. And he didn't care about whether it was dignified - if someone wishes to do their part to help people, then they should do so, he figured. He'd always seen it as quite admirable, though he hadn't ever thought it would be something that attracted him to another person - though he wasn't going to argue with the results. As Amelia snuggled in closer, he smiled, rather close to dozing off himself.

It would be scandalious enough if someone found they lying in bed together in the morning, particulary with Amelia's supposed impending marriage. And yet if Aldray had to flee, it would only make them look more guilty, despite having not done anything. Regardless, she wanted to make a better impression than that with her father if she hoped to get his approval to dissolve the engagement. Phil was an understanding man, but like any father, he'd probably be a bit concerned about his daughter being in a relationship with a man who would sneak into her room late at night and then run away.

Her head lolled further against his chest, the weight increasing as she find herself barely able to keep her eyes open. The warmth of his body and the soothing steady beat of his heart against her ear was enought to lull her slowly to sleep.

"Love you...Aldray..." she managed to murmur as her breathing evened out, her hold loosening as she quietly drifted into her awaiting dreams.

Whatever happened, he would face it with courage! Honor! Dignity! And probably a goofy smile.

By the time Amelia says that, though, Aldray's already out, peacefully huddled up with her.
