Yunho considered his first day in college a huge success. He had been able to get Hee Soo's trust in less time than he had forseen it and the fact that they had exactly the same classes and that the girl was incredibly shy when it came to talk to people she didn't know was a advantage that Yunho used to make his approach easier.
Despite being only the first day, both of them talked during class and out while waiting for the next period to start and at lunch time. By the end of the day, the two of them left college together and that was when Hee Soo noticed that Yoochun was waiting for her outside the gates, leaning on his car.

“My brother is waiting for me. I guess we'll see each other tomorrow.”

“I'll go with you and take the chance to greet him too.”

Yoochun got away from the vehicle and smiled at the sight of his (girlfriend) sister while at the same time, lightly greeting Yunho. “So you found her again.”

“We have the same classes.” The girl said, while opening the back door and putting her bag on the seat.

“I'm glad. I was worried about Hee Soo not making friends because she didn't know anyone. You'll have to take care of her, Yunho.”

Yunho smirked “Don't worry. She's in good hands. I have to go now; I only came here to greet you. Let's go out for some food one of these days.”

“Sure.”

Yunho waved at them while turning his back on the two and heading to his car. Yoochun made sure that he was not turning back and that no one was looking and took this chance to hug his girlfriend that quickly shove him, squirming.

“Not here, Yoochun! Get in the car, okay?”

He pouted “I missed you, you know?”

~*~
Yunho opened his car's door and threw his bag onto the back seats. He didn't have much time so he hurried into starting the engine and leaving the parking lot.
His phone rang when he was heading to a new location and after checking the phone's screen, he saw that Yoon Jae was the one calling. He decided to ignore her call since he was not the least interested in talking to the girl.

He arrived in thirty minutes.
The same place he would visit once a year for three years now where his brother was. It was located on a small hill, near a huge tree and from where the city could be seen. Maybe that place WAS too beautiful to use as a burial location, but that had always been Ji Woo's favourite place in the world.
Yunho went near the tombstone and placed the flower arrangement that he was carrying after cleaning the place from the leaves that had fallen from the tree and that the wind blew to the tombstone.

“Happy 21st birthday, Ji Woo.” Yunho said, muttering the words when suddenly he heard a very familiar voice.

“I knew you'd come”

Yunho looked at the person who spoke. Yoon Jae was right in front of him, holding some flowers and giving him a slight smile.

“Hi” Was the only thing that Yunho could think of saying.

“Hi. I knew it was you the one leaving the flowers every year, despite this being the first time that we actually see each other here.” The girl said, wile carefully placing the flowers right beside Yunho's.

“Its his birthday so I had to come. Do you still come here every week?”

“I do. I can't leave him alone, now can I?”

“Stop doing it. Live your life.”

“Part of my life is here. I have to be where he is.”

“Don't be a idiot, Yoon Jae. Ji Woo is dead. My brother is not coming back so do you think he'd be happy to see how you are living your life? You have to move on.”

“Can we change the subject? I don't feel like talking about this.” She said, at last.

“Then we have nothing else to say to each other. Listen to me: I understand that Ji Woo was precious to you and he will always be an important memory in your life, but you'll have to move on. He's dead, you're not.”

Yunho prepared to abandon the location when Yoon Jae spoke again.

“How about you, Yunho? Shouldn't you do the same? You didn't move on either and have exactly the same expression that you had three years ago whenever we talk about Ji Woo. You are also alive so don't you think it's time for you to move on too?”

He turned to face her “Me? No, you are wrong. I'm not alive. The Yunho you once knew died three years ago and he is never going to come back.
Be careful on your way home since it's getting late.” The man turned his back on the girl again and left.

He didn't take long to get to his apartment in the headquarter's building although that was actually a day where he felt like going to his own home. With exceptions to a few men like Jaejoong and Yoon Ki, the other members in the organization lived outside the headquarter's grounds and usually only went there when they had pending affairs with Enoki or when they were preparing for an assignment.
Their homes were basically a refuge that they could not afford to lose since it was the only place were they could be themselves. Anyway, the headquarter's were way closer, so he gave up.

When he got there and parked his car, he saw Junsu going down from the stairs that gave access to the undergroung parking lot. He was dressed in black from head to toe, with a bag on his right hand and heading to his car.
Yunho knew there was only one reason for Junsu to go out on his car and not on his motorbike; his clothing and serious look on his face being another sign of what was making him go out at that late hour.

“Junsu!” The elder called, making the other look at him at once.

“Hyung! Welcome. How did college go?”

“It was perfect. How about you?”

“It was different” He said “Sorry hyung but I can't talk to you right now since I'm kind of in a hurry.”

“I know. Just be careful, okay?”

“Don't worry, I'll be back in one piece just to bother you. See 'ya” Junsu got inside his car and drove off.

It was true, Yunho did worry about Junsu. Many times when he looked at him he thought about how he was old enough to be his brother and he knew that had left to go on a mission that day and he also knew that those missions were dangerous for each of them since it was not guaranteed that they'd be back so it was kind of hard for him to understand how could Enoki - being Junsu's father - have his son working for him and risking his life every day.
Even though he was adopted, Junsu was Enoki's son and heir, having been raised by the man since he was abandoned by his biological parents when he was only one year old.

Enoki had told him the story probably on one of the days where they happened to be talking about Yunho's brother and the potential clues that might surface about Ji Woo's assassin. Enoki told him about how he found Junsu in front of his house's door and how he pitied the poor boy's fate, deciding on taking him as his own from then on.
Yunho's boss was a powerful and immensely influent although there were not many people who knew how he really was. From his business to his investments, it was probable that about one third of the country's wealth was linked to him and there was no company that would not want to be favoured by the Hashi group.

Enoki was smart enough to camouflage his true activity with a facade of millionaire affairs on various fields in such a way that no one would ever suspect that the leader from the most powerful company in the country was also the leader of one of Asia's biggest mob organization.
With Enoki, Junsu had always been a dedicated son who loved his father above anything even when Enoki told him he was adopted and Yunho knew that Junsu never felt the need to look for his real parents because to him, Enoki was the only father he ever had.

Maybe it was out of influence from seeing the other members in the organization, for knowing what his father really did or maybe just out of loyalty and love to his father, but Junsu started being trained from a tender age. He showed an abnormal ability in learning martial arts and was a fast learner. He was a true genius and there was no one who could beat him being in brains or physical ability so it was not strange that the eighteen year old Junsu was his father's favourite member out of all of them.

Junsu had only one flaw: He was actually a good person and Yunho would hate to see such a wonderful boy ending up being all lost, just like himself.

Yunho was distracted with his thoughts when Jaejoong ran into him, violently.
“Sorry.” Jaeoong said and kept going

“Where are you going? Did something happen?”

“'Purple Line'. No time to explain” Jaejoong got into his car and Yunho followed him, getting into the passenger's seat. “What are you doing?”

“I'm coming along. You look like you're going to get in trouble and you can tell me what happened on the way there.”

On their way to 'Purple Line' and after calming down a little, Jaejoong told his friend what happened and his reason to be in such a hurry: He had ran into Changmin in the headquarter's corridor and out of curiosity asked him where his crazy brother, Heechul was.

“It's rare to see you alone. Where is that psycho of a brother that you have?”

“Probably near that whore of a sister you have”

Jajeoong grabbed him by the collar “If you dare to repeat what you said about my sister ever again, I swear that those will be the last words you'll ever say.”

“Why? It's not like it's a lie and besides, you insulted my brother too.”

“Your brother is a psycho. He always was.”

“Your sister is a whore. She always was. I don't know what Heechul sees in her.”

The sound of a punch echoed through the corridor and a little blood was draught out of Changmin's mouth.

“There's people who just can't handle the truth, huh?”

“Where is Heechul?”

Yunho sighed as Jaejoong finished telling him the facts. “Changmin is such  brave kid, huh?”

“I'd say reckless is more like it.”

“I understand what you want to do, but you'll have to be cool headed and... not get out of control, okay?”

“That's what you are here for. You make sure I don't go wild.”

“Am I your baby-sitter or something?” Yunho blurted

As they arrived at the club, Jaejoong headed immediately to Si Yeon's dress room, being followed by Yunho. From outside the room, two distinct voices could be heard and Jaejoong was not pleased to recognize Heechuls'.

“Oppa...” Si Yeon said, as Jaejoong opened the door, violently.

“What happened to your manners? Won't you knock on the door anymore?” The red haired man asked, in a sarcastic tone.

“Would you shut up? I have already told you to leave.” The girl said

“Aren't you being unfair with me? I just came to say hello.”

Jaejoong went near the man and grabbed him by the wrist “Do you have hearing problems? She told you to leave.”

“I am not talking to you.” Heechul retorted, releasing himself from the other's grip

“I don't care what you want. I'm the one you will be talking to... outside.”

Jaejoong took the man's arm and dragged him out of the room in a not very gentle way while the other kept protesting. Yunho put his head down, feeling a headache approaching as he went after the two, knowing that he'd have to prevent Jaejoong from beating the other into a pulp.
Jaejoong took Heechul outside, to the back of the club and finally released him, after pretty much shoving him into a wall and getting as near as possible to the man while looking at him straight in the eyes.

“This is the last warning that I am giving you, Heechul: stay away from my sister. I don't want to ever see you near her, do you hear me?”

“Why should I? Because I am a bad person? A cold blooded killer and an empty hearted person who has no feelings? If that is the reason, than you should stay away from your sister also, because you and I are so much alike.”

Jaejoong grabbed Heechul by the collar “Don't you dare compare yourself to me, you freak. I am nothing like you.”

“Oh, you are right,” He grinned “I forgot you are just picking up the leftovers. How do you define yourself lately? An 'inside man', right? A fancy definition to say that you are a coward that is good for nothing; not even to be a killer.”

Jaejoong lost the tiny bit of patience that he had until that moment, as he swung his arm and landed a punch on Heechul's face, making him lose his balance for a second. The red haired man gave him a diabolical look then and as he felt that there was blood dripping from the corner of his mouth, he licked it with his tongue, feeling its taste.

“So now what? What are you going to do if I don't leave Si Yeon alone? Are you going to keep hitting me? Are you going to kill me? Do you even have the guts for it? What are you going to do, Jaejoong?”

“Maybe I can make an exception for you.”

Heechul laughed “On the day that you stop being favoured by Enoki just because you are good for nothing, maybe I'll believe you. For now, you are just a guy who thinks he is a badass but can't protect himself or her sister without the help of his little friends” Heechul said, looking at Yunho, who kept a distance from the two.
The man glanced at Jaejoong one last time and left soon after, leaving Jaejoong cussing him.

“I feel like beating him up!”

“I don't think that is a good idea” Yunho said, yawning.

“No? Maybe just a bit? Can't I just brake some of his bones?”

“Come on, forget about him and I'll buy you a drink. You were a good boy today and only hit two people; I'm proud of you.” He said, mocking the blonde.

~*~

Meanwhile, somewhere at what usually was called 'the run-down part of the city', Junsu was waiting, in a dark corner while reading a file with a flash light in his hand.

“ 'Hwa Jung Soo, twenty-four years old, gang leader wannabe' ” Junsu read the report for the 20th time already, still amazed at Jaejoong's ability to make him laugh while reading them “ 'gang leader wannabe'? That Jaejoong... why is it that the reports he make for me are always so weird? And why isn't the guy coming out already? Does he know how cold Seoul is at night during the winter?”

The boy kept talking to himself, cussing his target and the weather and anything else he could remember of until he finally saw the guy he was waiting for getting out of the noodle shop running along his friends while an ahjumma screamed about the bill they didn't pay and a pair of broken chairs.

“Tsk. It figures... a bunch of no-ones thinking they'll be the next big thing in town.”

According to Jaejoong's 'wonderful' report, they were part of a group that was expanding in the area and making trouble everywhere. As the umber of members kept increasing, they were expanding their territory at the old and poor part of the city and everyone in the 'undergound' knew that Enoki didn't like people trying to stand out in his territory.
The only thing that Junsu didn't know was the reason for him to have to take such a mediocre job. It was kind of boring, actually.

Junsu started following his targets from afar as they crossed the street waiting for them to go into an alley or at least an empty street in order for him to do what he had to.

~*~

As Sung Ri walked on the empty street, she kept cursing her lack of luck.

“Why do these things always happen to me? As if it was not enough having one hell of a bad day due to that blonde bastard, but now I still have to walk two whole blocs while hoping not to find some gangsters just to get a bath. 'I am sorry, dea, but there is no more hot water, can't you go to the public bath?', She continued, imitating her mother “Why the hell is it that there is NEVER any hot water when I get home?”

Sung Ri was still cursing her miserable life when she crossed ways with a group of dangerous looking guys.

“Calm down, calm down,” She chanted, almost whispering “maybe they won't say anything. Please, let me pass quietly, please.”

“Yaaaaaaaah” On of them exclaimed, happily.

[Oh, shit!] She thought

“Isn't she pretty?” One of them said as Sung Ri tried to walk by them “Hey, hun, are you going somewhere? Do you want to hang out with us?”

She just nodded negatively, unable to speak

Junsu kept looking at the situation, from a distance and sighing “Oh great... that was just what I needed: some idiot girl to slow me down.” Then he looked at the girl, recognizing her “Wait a minute... isn't that... the idiot from college? Damn it, what is she doing here? Oh well, it's not my business anyway so I'll just wait a bit”

Junsu waited, ignoring what was happening in the alley, but then again, the girl's voice was truly bothering him. It was so obvious by her tone that she was scared and despite the fact that to Junsu she was an idiot and an irritating one at that, it didn't mean that she had anything to do with that situation.

“She will owe me a big one for this.” He said to himself, as he made his appearance and approached the group of men. “Let go of her arm if you please.” He ordered, earning a look from the guy holding Sung Ri's arm.

“Who the hell are you to order me around?”

“I said 'Let go of her arm', didn't you hear me?” He asked again, this time grabbing the gangster's wrist, twisting it slightly until he released the girl “Are you okay?” Junsu asked her.

She nodded “Why are you here?”

“I don't think this is the best moment for me to be answering questions” Junsu said, signalling to the men in front of him, who started cracking their knuckles and preparing to attack Junsu, for his bold action.

At Jung Soo's order, they really did attack him and the boy only had time to put himself in front of Sung Ri and start fighting them.
For her, it was not a fair fight, since he was outnumbered but for Junsu, he was just trying not to use too much force on them as he could not risk killing one of them in front of her.

“Yah! Get out of here, before you get hurt.” He told the girl after shoving one of the gangsters down.

“Are you crazy? Are you going to fight them alone?”

“Just do as I tell y - ”

“LOOK OUT!” She yelled.

Junsu turned his body quickly but was not able to dodge quickly and suddenly felt the blade of a knife on his skin, above his navel. Due to his quick reflexes, the cut was not too deep but it bled a lot and it bothered him even more.

Sung Ri panicked as soon as she looked at Junsu's bloody hand “Oh my god, are you okay? There's blood!”

“I'm fine, just get out of here!”

The gang leader looked at Sung Ri then, wiping his own bloody lips from the punches that Junsu delivered on his face and quickly pushed her out of the way, rather violently, making her trip on one of the steps and fall. As Junsu saw what he did, he felt like it was his chance of getting out of that place and not only assure her safety, but also do what he was supposed to do to them.
As he started running, the men followed him close behind as he led them to another alley. A dead-end this time.
The leader smirked at the realization of that situation himself, thinking that he had Junsu cornered.

“Dead-end. Now what, punk?” Jung Soo asked

Junsu took a deep breathe and smiled “Finally a dead-end. I was getting tired of running. I'll start my business now if it's okay with you boys.” He said, and a few seconds later he was knocking all of them down one by one. As they were all already in a bad condition, due to the beating they got from Junsu, he decided that they were taking more time than he predicted. The man dressed in black took out his long coat, revealing a katana, on a belt, placed around his waist.

“Yah! What the hell are you going to do with that thing?” One of the gangsters yelled

“Do you want to take a guess? I am just regretful to use such a beautiful thing on a scumbag like you.”

“Wait a minute, can't we talk about this? Who sent you?”

“Why do you want to know? It's not like you will be able to do anything even if you know, so I'll just end this quickly.”

The man in front of him started shaking after Junsu's words. He knew he was serious about it and the blonde did not lie: he was quick and after the job was done, he got rid of any possible evidence, put on his coat and left the place. Junsu went back to where he found Sung Ri, but she was not there anymore so he made sure that he was not followed by anyone, got to where he had parked his car and disappeared quickly.

This time, he didn't go to the headquarters, but to the beach. That was where he went every time he finished those kinds of missions.
He removed his coat, the belt that held his sword and the shoes, getting in the water. His wound hurt in contact with the salty water and the sea washed away all the blood from it. After awhile he got out, changed his clothes into the ones he had inside his black bag and left. The wound still made him feel uncomfortable and he knew he would not be able to make big movements for the next few days.
He just hoped that on the next day, Sung Ri didn't “attack” him with questions, but then again he had his doubts.
