Adam hadn't been on a first date in a while. Longer than he wanted to admit, actually. With the world tour in full force throughout the past year, he didn't have time to see friends or family for longer than a day or two at a time, let alone go on dates. Besides the fact that he just hadn't been very interested in anyone that he'd met along the way. And while he usually supported casual sex, he'd been feeling less enthused about another one-night stand while on the road. He'd remained celibate for three months, which, for Adam, was a big feat. A very big feat.

But this was different. Something about this girl was different. And the timing had been absolutely ideal. The world tour ended until March of 2008, and that gave him at three or so months with no interruptions, except for a few public appearances and interviews that he and the guys had to do. But those didn't go for months at a time. At the longest, a week or two.

She'd been the first woman in which Adam was genuinely interested; not just for her body, but for her intellect and emotional value, as well. That wasn't to say that Adam was solely interested in a woman's body and cared little for her substance. He'd done his fair share of that in the past. He found that most of the girls who were beautiful on the outside had absolutely nothing to offer on the inside. Sex only lasts so long while the conversation and emotional relationship deteriorates.

Adam pulled up and parked in front of her apartment building. Shutting the engine off, he let out an exhale of nervous air. Nervous? Why was he nervous? He usually handled these situations spectacularly well. But .. this one was different.

He slid out of the car and walked up the stoop to the door. Looking at the names next to the buttons, he found hers and pressed it twice. Bouncing a few times on his feet to try and alleviate his nerves, he took deep breaths but realized it made him even more light-headed and stopped. When no one answered, he rang the bell again.

Did he have the wrong apartment building?
