Seriously, I think 2011 hates me...

Sorry, sorry, still no chapter 7 for OWS. My email to Aera went into a black hole, so she didn't realize that there was a chapter to edit. She's on it now, but that means no chapter at this moment. I'm trying to work on ch8 in the meantime, but man, it's been hard to focus lately.

However, I do have a birthday present from the_god_of_sun to share with you--Read more... )

I must admit that I was hugely excited when I saw an update on your website. I'm sad that there's no chapter yet, but the picture is nice to look at so I will do so until the new chapter arrives. Mmmm, Squall ( ... )

It's totally my fault--I should've checked with Aera sooner. My emails have a bad habit of being eaten by spam filters. But isn't that a lovely picture by Ruth to enjoy in the meantime? Get a close-up of his eyes--I think it's the best part of the entire pic... Well, maybe after that bike ( ... )

I'm sorry you're having a sucky year, sweetie. I wish there was some way I could help...

That picture is flipping amazing. I hereby declare it the cover picture for whenever I get off my lazy ass and put OWS into e-book format. Which should really have been last week, but I've been putting it off.

I hope the year gets better for you, I hope your cat is okay, and I hope your dad decides not to fly.

Eh, I'm really not the only one having a shitty year, but it definitely helps to vent online. And one year, I'll be able to go back and remember all of the crap that happened and whether or not all of this is worth it in the end. ;)

Isn't is a great pic?! Ruth always knows how to spoil me and make me see a different view point of my stories. Haha, and I haven't finished OWS yet! Why are you the lazy one for not having an e-book format for it when I've wasted time not writing it? :D

I think Skid while be okay, but alas, my dad is going to fly. It's stuck in his head and he won't be satisfied until he almost kills himself. That's how it always works with him. Almost broke his neck skiing last year when he did one run too many. *sigh*

*grin* I'm the lazy one because I should have all the other fics in e-book format. And this one I'd just end up updating every time a new chapter was finished.

... It made sense in my head, okay? XD

Ah weekends. Weekends suck. Job hunting sucks. Moving sucks. Eventually I will post on that too... in the meantime, I commiserate on recent suckiness.

You're whole saga with the movers was so sad! And I completely understand how you reacted to it, too. I probably paid more than I could have for my A/C, but I'm too nervous about frauds that I chose a bigger company to use. Still, could've been worse. My neighbors A/C went out a week after mine and they paid $2000 more than me. And I have a bigger house. o.O Never did like the company that they use. I got a quote from them once and immediately told them, thanks, but I'll be looking around elsewhere.

Misery loves company!! But let's both hope that things turn around for the better. *nods*

Yeah, well, I definitely learned a lesson! I'm in my new place now - posting a video tour of the place before I destroyed it with boxes... no where to put anything when I have no shelving yet!

*HUGS* (TT^TT)

I'd be lying if I said 'don't worry about updates, take your time!' cause I wait impatiently for all your new chapters. *Clears throat guiltily* But this year does sound like a super tough one for you. Hopefully things get better from now.

And hell yeah to - "It's nice that someone realizes the opportunity they fucked up, though."

You deserve better! Hoping with all my heart that you get an ideal job real soon! Although I still can't relate much to the hardship of work life being a student myself, from your post its obvious how much stress you'd been taking through the year. So, don't stress yourself further with updates since writing is supposed to be an enjoyment. ^^

Push on! がんばって!

Yeah, it's totally my fault about no chapter update. I thought Aera was busy (per her usual crazy life) and didn't harass her for 3-4weeks. We would've figured out sooner that she never got the link to ch7.

That'll probably be one of my fondest memories with leaving this company, how she realizes that they missed out on something good.

Haha, I always stress out with updates. I can't help myself. I'm a fanfic reader, too, so I know how painful it can be for more updates. ;) I'm also struggling since I know how I want the rest of ch8 to go, but I can't put the words down. I'm so upset by everything else happening that I can't focus. So annoying... But I'm hopeful for changes soon! A couple of the companies I've been eyeing have finally posted entry level jobs, so there's a chance of things working out sooner than I thought! *crossing fingers*

Re: fantastic flying father
Assuming he's flying out of the nearest GA airport, is he friends with any of the other pilots there? This may be a longshot, but if he and a buddy or two can get together for flights that means you've got another pilot sitting in the RH seat incase something goes weird. There are fringe benefits like splitting the costs, but really it means he still gets to have fun flying and it greatly reduces risk. If he enjoys group activities you might put the bug in his ear to join the local CAP squadron. It would be a good way to meet said pilots if he doesn't know a lot of folks there, and it's an interesting way to get a twofer providing a service to the community while you're enjoying your hobby.

*sigh* We've suggested that to my dad, but he's determined to fly alone. He has talked about a club of sorts, though, with people who own his specific type of plane... a Cardinal or something? The problem is that he doesn't make friends, and really, that's why he's getting back into flying after thirty years of not doing so. And sure, he flew before, but according to my mother, he was a shitty pilot back that, not that he denies it. He just says he wasn't trained right ( ... )

Cessna 177 Cardinal, probably.

Yup, that's the one! And I have cringed at hearing him say "Cessna". I don't care if most small planes are Cessnas--they are also the ones that are on the news as crashing all the time. :(
