Day trip to Arbor Low Stone Circle

Arbor Low Stone Circle is an ancient momument, approximately 3,000 - 6,000 years old. It's about an hour-and-a-half drive from home -- I can't say for sure, having taken a couple of wrong turns getting there. :-D) This site is on a private farm, which means you get to walk through a farm and some of its fields to get there. If you didn't know it was a henge, you'd think it was just a geological feature.

When you see the whole thing, as opposed to snapshots carefully chopping out any human present, it's pretty obviously not natural. You can see another photo here, plus, if you click on the photo under 'Look Around', you can see an aerial view.

Love these pictures, Terie. Next time, though, more pictures of the individual cows so I can make a fool of myself guessing their breeding (be sure to ask the farmer so you can laugh at me when I'm wrong!) Love the sheep. Love the scenics and the rocks.
