Sometimes I find myself amazed that I'm not one of those bitter anti-Valentine's Day girls. I've never had a SO on the candy-and-hearts holiday, so I haven't actually "celebrated" it before. Rembember last fall when NBC was promoting Coupling? And, it was supposed to be so good. And, they couldn't have been more wrong? Well, I saw the BBC Coupling (our local PBS station carries it) for the first time and absolutely loved it. I can't believe how horrible the American version was, when it was based on that. Watched the Agassi v. Safin match. Nearly had a heart attack. Make that multiple heart attacks. I love/hate those matches where you live and die on every point.

I made a loaf of honey wheat bread today. I feel downright domestic. I used the breadmaker and, until today, had only made classic white bread. Just got back from seeing Matrix: Reloaded. I'd heard such bad reviews about it that I went into it expecting crap. I was not disappointed. Okay, I take that back. I was actually enjoying the movie up until ( the last half hour. )

I heard about the 2004 Banished Words List on the radio today. Was kind of amused that at the top of the list is "metrosexual" - a word I only just heard for the first time a couple of weeks ago. There were a couple others I've never heard before - "hand-crafted latte" and "sanitary landfill".

Let's see - joylynh came down on Tuesday night. We hung out with J and S (two college buddies) on New Year's eve. It was nice and quiet. We went out for dinner then visited the video store for their ( Buy 2, Get 2 Free sale )

I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I was rushing to get to the office. Showed up a few minutes late, but was still the first one there. Heh.
