No more bling-bling

I heard about the 2004 Banished Words List on the radio today. Was kind of amused that at the top of the list is "metrosexual" - a word I only just heard for the first time a couple of weeks ago. There were a couple others I've never heard before - "hand-crafted latte" and "sanitary landfill".

I hate bling-bling. Soooo overused. I cast my vote for banishment. And I never heard of metrosexual. I read the definition and it just doesn't make sense.

Actually, I first heard of metrosexual here on LJ. There's a community, metrosexual, for it - their userinfo gives a much better definition of the word than the banishment site.

I added you. I've been making a lot of friends-only posts lately, so now you've got more material. I almost feel like I should find something that makes you go "FREAK!" and run away from my journal screaming. ;-) I'll probably just bore you to tears. My life is utterly uninteresting. So much so, that I keep contemplating packing up my car, taking off for parts unknown and attempting to "start over".

I'll certainly go through your journal, but I warn you now - I'm pretty accepting (I've gotten far more liberal in the last couple years) and have diverse tastes, too. So, it usually takes a lot for me to be completely turned off by somebody.
