[Today was a good day for Mr. Quinn Hatch. Not only was his technomancy waiting for him under the tree this morning, but there was a package on the porch for him as well. It contained a totally bitchin' turntable set inside! Quinn is positively giddy with these, and as a result today you'll find him

[Well he was having a nice chat with a lamppost when you interrupt him. He's grinning ear to ear.]

Len! Hey! Oh, I got my powers back. It's awesome!

[tsunslut]

... The power to talk to lamp posts?

[techno_mancer]

[He laughs.] Sorta. Any kind of machine. Anything with a power source. I can communicate with them, and command them. Not that ya can do much with a lamppost, but it's nice to have it back again.

... *that car you're talking to just suddenly flashed its lights at you a few times, because Nanashi made it do that. No, she's not in the car*

[That's surprising, since he didn't tell the car to do it. He asks the car what happened, and it's not sure. Quinn looks around and sees Nanashi.]

Hey. Was that you?

Yeah? How'd ya do that?

[SUDDENLY, a very small pony comes galloping into the garage, followed by Raz.]

Wait! Come back!

[techno_mancer]

[Stares at that.]

Whoa, where'd he come from?

[ra_ra_razputin]

[Finally grabs it and picks it up before it can accidentally trample any of Quinn's equipment.]

This is Goliath! He's from my family's circus! I found him in the closet. I guess the town decided to give him to me?

[And now that he's not chasing it everywhere he can stop and see the cool new stuff in the garage.] Whoa! What'd you get?

A pony? Pretty cool! Ya gotta clean up after him, alright?

I did pretty well today! Not only did they send my magic back to me, they sent my brand-new turntable too! We gotta throw a party or somethin'. Get this whole town dancin'!

[Watches Quinn cahtting it up with a car. HE KNEW THAT THESE THINGS WEREN'T JUST THINGS.]

I'd be glad to fix your transmission, but I ain't sure who owns ya, so... [Uh oh, he's being watched again. He waves.]

Hey, man! Don't mind me. I promise I ain't goin' crazy or anything.

Y' can talk t' them. [He just guesses that it is like Norway's trolls, that just won't talk to him or Denmark.]

Yeah. Any kinda machine, really. I've been without it for so long now while here. I'm so glad they gave it back!

[Is he... talking to a car? Like actually talking to it?

...Hold on, just gonna use her own ability to ask the car this orz.]

[Indeed he was! Quinn had learned that this car recently got new tires. How exciting. But now he's getting some new sensation while using his magic - and being that he's never encountered anyone with his ability before, he doesn't understand what he's feeling. Quinn blinks and looks around when he spots April looking at him. He waves.]

Hey. ...Was that you?

[She waves back and gives a sheepish smile.] Ah, yeah, that was me...
