get used to disappointment
I was pretty excited about the possibility of using zipcar. Fairly low annual fee, affordable driving rates, gas and insurance included. pretty awesome - low commitment, and lots of ease of use. There's zipcars that "live" near the mall, and near my house, and a ton that live downtown. awesome ( Read more... ) -

We know some special guys, who are willing to come to tea parties with only women when they don't have to. -

1. working mornings. i have hardly any trouble getting up for work in the mornings, even on not-quite-enough sleep. Though on 4 or 5 hours of sleep I can be terrible, while 6 or 7 hours doesn't ruin me ( Read more... ) -

another thing i'm thankful for is my boxes. I have eight boxes that have had so many lives, they're almost cats. They've been yearbook boxes, moving boxes, shelves, and pretty soon they'll be lidless storage containers in my closet to help keep things organized and on my shelves ( Read more... ) -

I started work the other day by asking Kaku if he was genki.
"not really," he said. "... demo, risa no kao mitara, genki ni natteimas."
or whatever the correct japanese was for "i saw your face and became genki!"
