The less furious shaking of the jeep finally suggested that it was slowing down and they were either taking a pit stop or they were finally at the base. The total halt of movement and the screech of a handbrake told him where ever they were, they could be here a while. But the soldiers next to him started to move out so maybe they were at the base

He sees the obviously new arrival standing a little awkwardly on the grounds and makes his way even quicker towards him. He stops dead in front of the other guy and shuffles slightly making sure he's properly grounded before he reaches out to offer a hand to the other man.. no sense in suddenly giving him a light-headed feeling.
"Hey, I'm Adrian!" He totally hasn't noticed the lack of sight. "I'm here to help you out and show you the ropes."

Just off voice alone, Scott figured whoever his guide was, they were young and were male. Judging from where his voice was coming from, he wasn't short either. But from just sound that was all he could guess about the man/boy before him. This was going to be one fun guessing game.
"Hi Adrian, I'm Scott. Nice to meet you and I'm glad that someone decided to turn up, eventually. And now that we've finished exchanging pleasantries, could you tell me where I am?"

"Welcome to Fort Wenachee, your new home away from home." He notices the closed eyes, this time. "You'd probably experience it better if you opened your eyes and took a look around."
He does however take the closed eyes as an opportunity to give this new-comer the once-over with his eyes, probably channelling a bit too much of Ric's mentor-ship.

Though he was annoyed, tired and generally in a crap mood from being stuck in another universe that differed from his own, he took a deep breath and tried to play nice. "Looks great. Now if someone can just turn the lights on, I'm sure it would look better. Hmph, trust me when I say that you don't want me to open my eyes. Unless you have a death wish."

What made him stop was the fact that the man who stepped from the jeep had his eyes closed. Where most would find this 'peculiar', Wade found this interesting. The odd and abnormal were always open doors to new opportunities ( ... )

Still in a defensive posture, Scott spoke, warily. "No, just protecting them from harm. No need to scar them by looking right at your face. I don't feel like ruining my eyes today."
Even as he was saying it, he concentrated to hear exactly where Wade was standing. He didn't want this newcomer catching him by surprise. Not when he was 'missing' a sense.

Poor Scott would learn sooner or later that teasing with Wade only fulled him further. But honestly, what didn't?
"It must be something fun if you're here. I doubt Emma would bring in a blind man, so that can't be it." Yes, he was also five years old in the sense that he had to figure out what made Scott tick. He wasn't blind, and he wasn't psychic or else he would have known where Wade was. Whatever power he held, it was in his eyes.

The comment about his eyes just pissed him off but he still remain still, trying to stop him from punching the man. He didn't know what the powers of the man was. Scott wasn't stupid enough to get in a fight with someone he was at a clear disadvantage to. But at this rate, he just might forgo sensibilities.
"Don't you have anything better to do? Or is the leash they keep you on too short to go anywhere else?" Scott unfortunately hadn't quite figured out that teasing Wade got him no where.

The fact that she also had to head over to the research centre to grab the prototype for the new mutant probably didn't help matters either, but she had a hope -maybe an inkling, that someone else would approach Scott before then.
Usually it was impossible not to have those meetings.
With the visor in hand, Emma located Scott with a quick check before crossing the grounds to meet him. "I do hope you've not been waiting long, Mr Summers."

So he quite calmly spoke, face devoid of any real emotions. He trusted she had the class not to read people's mind when talking to them. It was too him common decency but he steel his mind the best he could just in case. He wasn't naive and knew that not all telepaths were like the Professor and Jean.
"Not at all. I was just enjoying the weather, Miss Frost. I only hope that I'm not imposing on your time. You sound like a busy woman." Scott made it rather clear that he still was iffy about calling her Miss Frost. It just made him like he was a student all over again.

"I do apologise for your wait, but I did have a stop off to make, a welcome gift, if you will." Careful with just how close she got, Emma took the edges of the visors, and began to place them over Scott's eyes, explaining what she was doing as she was doing it to avoid startling him. "We can't have you blind and without controlled access to your powers, naturally, so I took the liberty of having a prototype visor made for you. There are still a few tests to be done, mostly seeing just how much power it can handle, so I'd advise not pushing it unless in a safe environment, but it is being refined as we speak."
With the visor slotted over his face, Emma took a few steps back, eyebrow raised as she shifted into her diamond form, just in case. "Best open your eyes and see that it works."

Keep his eyes closed, Scott held deathly still whilst trying not to flinch at the unseen contact. He expected it but he didn't like it at all, though the prospect of visor did cheer his spirits abit.
Once it was on, waited for her to move away. Only then did he slowly open his eyes. He peeked out and to his joy, they didn't break and there were no demolished buildings ahead which meant they worked. The tension just eased out of his body as he was able to see again.
"Thank you, Miss Frost. I think I owe you now."

Well that was what he was hoping for. But at the rate her hands were sliding and caressing his chest, he might just have to hurt her. A bit. Not knowing who she is, for starters, meant he didn't appreciate her 'actions' at all.
Rather than standing there and letting her continue Scott, though he was at a disadvantage, lashed out blindly behind him. Trying to push her away from him. The fact that she also managed to sneak up behind unnoticed unsettled him as well. He was not in the mood to be taunted or messed with.
And Betsy was being a master at doing just that.
