How many lines of work?

I answered a survey from the Consumer Reports website, and they wanted to know at the end "How many lines of work have you had since age 21?"  I thought this was unrelated to buying consumer products, but what the heck?  I answered the question.  It prompted me to make a list.  So here it is ( Read more... )

It may seem unrelated but they're probably trying to find correlations between that and the electronics you use.

Lol! Poor people at Consumer Reports, trying to figure me out! I explain my experiences to employers, and they have a tough enough time figuring things out. Oh well...

LOL. I'm from the DC area and it's definitely not part of the South. I usually go with Mid-Atlantic.

Most of the jobs I'll admit to have been in education, which actually kinda sucks because it's the wrong field for me and I've been having a very hard time transitioning into doing other kinds of work. At least now I have an answer for that dreaded "Tell me about a time when you used leadership" interview question.

I agree with you that your background probably would make you suited to a lot of things. Sounds like you're good with people and very organized, both of which are skills that I see a lot of employers wanting when I look at job postings.

I wish I had wise words to tell you how to transition from the education field into something else...all I can think of is: keep on explaining to employers how your skills translate into the new field. Especially leadership skills! ;-)
