My employment history is bad. Really bad. I've had somewhere around 10 jobs (best guess) and only one of them lasted more than 6 months - and even that was an on-and-off, "work when we need you" sort of thing. So I was just told that my resume is boring and lacks any pizzazz.  Any one out there who can help me with that? Or point me in the direction that does not cost me an arm and a leg?

I also have the hardest time writing a cover letter.  I am a published author why is it so hard?

I'm rewriting my resume, and I have a few questions. Keep in mind that I'm a 20 year old with not TOO much work experience. So it seems like I'm rejected as soon as employers see that I was terminated from my last job, without their bothering to look at the circumstances.  (Punch-clock error that my supervisor never bothered to point out until HR called me in to fire me, if it matters.)  Is there any kind of weasel-wording I can use...without actually lying, obviously ( Read more... )
