well, I guess it was a good new years. I am going to permant midnights at work, we are down a dispatcher, and I don't think, I am going to be staying much longer myself. Just can't wait to get out. Looks like lauren and I might be moving to South Eastern Florida on the gulf coast in the next couple of years. she has a job lined up for me, and a job lined up for her. so instead of the snow, I will be around beautiful weather year round. ok, maybe hurricanes don't count, but I will be so much closer to a lot more things than I am up here... and ( Read more... )

first chirstmas that I am going to be away from my family for christmas. I know I have worked every christmas, but by away, I mean, it's more than 10 minutes so when I get done working I can't go see them, and my family. but that is besides the point. here goes. This morning, was the first significant snow storm for Vermont. I guess people here in the north country have forgotten how to drive. Which doesn't surprise me, because a lot of people forget how to drive when the snow flies, at least for the first time. well today was a good day. the past few weeks, the cops, the firemen, and the other dispatchers, have noticed I have been becoming more and more out of my shell, because I used to come in, sit in my chair and do nothing, but stare at the computer tonight. well that didn't happen.
