it's 8:00

I try to keep this thing updated as much as I can, but recently, haven't had the time nor the motivation. This week the three guys of the bunch are working 56 hours, and I honestly love it. It's been a learning experience for me. Sunday night, dispatched Norwich to a oven fire, and the house was filled with smoke. scary part was the open line that I had until the fire department hung up the phone (after about 20 minutes or so.). Then as that was dying down, I get a call from Williston. cell phone caller in Randolph village, reporting a active chimney fire. Here I go again on my own. Come in Monday morning at 11, relieve Jason, and that's when the clouds got dark over Vt. the phones start ringing, then the bomb hits. Train vs. Tractor trailer. We ran from 1:30-3:00pm, and then the phones stop ringing, people are cheery, people joke around with me, and then all is good. Have the next two days off. I went spinning on Wednesday, which Lauren said I could do, but she said I would be sore afterwards. Well I did it. I went spinning for a hour, and on a day that they decided to pick a hilly state with twangy music. Well I survived. then go into work for the second half of my week. well it wasn't quiet. right after shift change. 911, "Hi My chimney is on fire". ok, so I go through the reccomendations. general alarm, station 1 and station 2. wait. this is having memories of the shifts working with Mamma Chris. Burning stuff down every shift for awhile. Even brought Lebanon over... poor babies, had to crawl out of bed to come over here and sit.... well they were nice and comfortable in their truck. lol. Only two more hours to go, then I can finally go to bed, and sleep for 5 hours, get up and do this all over again. lucky me. but I enjoy the job, I enjoy the people I work with. ok, I have paperwork to do.
