Sam blinked a couple of times, then simply stared at the brochure he had just been given. Was this... for real? The title seemed to be a little odd. Turning towards his boyfriend, he brought up the document so that it was within Jeff's sight line ( ... )

Rachel had walked in with Finn hand in hand, sitting down she was really interested in what other people were going to bring to the table. Sitting down she listened to Ms. Pillsbury. They then were handed a pamphlet about competitions and saying No I'm better with you using a smile. What was all of this? Her and Finn exchanged glances before watching Sam get up and start singing his song. When he was finished, Rachel clapped and smiled. She and Finn then got up in front of everyone and Rachel of course had to say a little something.

"As you all know, we don't have a duet set yet for Sectionals. I wrote this song that I think that will be perfect for Finn and I to sing, and believe me it will move the audience and they will feel the song. It describes our relationship a little bit which will hopefully get us big points at Sectionals." With that she turned as the piano and the band began to play and they began to sing.

Lauren took the brochure from the young substitute. She read over the title and rolled her eyes. "Oh for fuck's sake," she muttered under her breath. She stuck her gum on the brochure before crumbling it up. Lauren Zizes knew how to say "I'm better than you" and she did it without a freaking smile on her face.

She sat back in her chair as Sam began to sing. Once she recognized the song, Lauren nodded as a sign of approval. U2 was awesome and Sam was doing a good job with the cover...original song. She clapped when he finished.

Rachel was singing next and of course she thought she had written the perfect duet song for sectionals. Lauren just shook her head, mostly amused. When Rachel and Finn started singing, Lauren swayed to the song, thinking it sounded pretty. It wouldn't be surprising if this song was chosen for sectionals. She made sure to clap for the couple at the end.

Lauren glanced at the clock and then around the room, wondering who, if anyone, else would be singing today.
