Jeff sat next to Sam, as predictable as that was. The couple was just a little more detached from the rest of the group today than usual. They hadn't pulled their chairs away or anything, but they did opt for the ones that were the furthest away, in the back.
As they listened to Emma's announcement, Jeff turned and faced his boyfriend.
''So, are you still sure I should sing that? I like the song... but it seems... slightly risqué to me.'' Jeff answered, as he laughed.
Sam just nodded. ''Well, that's true. But if you present it correctly...''
So, without further ado, Jeff stepped up to the floor.
''So this is a song... or a mix of songs... Sam & I kinda wrote, it's... not your usual stuff, but I feel it expresses the happiness of living in the moment, without worrying about what might happen tomorrow. Obviously, this is stretched out to the extreme, almost in a depraved way... but it's fun, and I feel it expresses... the concerns of today's youth.''
Then, he started singing, with Sam providing back vocals when needed

Lauren, who was sitting in the front row, perked up when Jeff mentioned he and Sam 'kinda' wrote a mix of songs together. She smirked at Sam and shook her head. When Jeff started, she moved easily to the beat and was thinking how good the medley was. She saw that Ms. Pillsbury was shifting uncomfortably in her chair when Lauren realized how inappropriate, or risque the song probably sounded to her. 'I'm screwed', 'cute boy in my bed', 'sexy'. Lauren just laughed to herself and wondered if the redhead was going to have a stroke.
About halfway through the song,Lauren started glaring at Sam because she thought the song was really good, and she sung 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". It didn't seem fair.
When Jeff finished, Lauren clapped, "Good job," she said sincerely then added, "You and Sam have some awesome songwriting skills."
Mercedes smirked slightly when Jeff mentioned that he and Sam wrote the mix of songs, and just leaned back against her chair. The combination of songs happened to be very good, and clapped when he was finished. She rather liked both of the songs that had been used in the mashup, and she thought that Jeff did quite well with both of the songs. Especially with him never actually having heard the original.
She flashed a smile at Jeff when he settled into a nearby chair.
Mercedes decided to sing again, she was in a musical mood today. She got up out of her seat, and peered over at Miss Pillsbury. "I know I've already done a song for the assignment, but I feel like singing again. You can disregard this song when it comes to the assignment, if you want. Oh! And I kind of wrote this song, too."
She nodded a bit at this, and settled at the piano to start playing the instrument, and to start singing. There had been some drama going on in her household, and this song kind of spoke to her, given the current situation at her house.
Rachel was never late for GLEE in her entire high school career. She was always early. She had left school early because she just needed some downtime to herself, which ended in her falling asleep. She must have been more tired than she thought. Racing into the GLEE room she was out of breath, "I....I'm sorry for being late, I was at home and I accidentally fallen asleep." She sat down and started listening to Mercedes, she was just in time for that. When she was finished she clapped and smiled. Then she got up in front of everyone and turned to Ms. Pillsbury
