Feel free to run into her at any point in this action or hit up her up with the voice]She runs from the house, full tilt, breathless running because she can't watch him tell her goodbye. Not again. Not after everything she's done and how far she's come.

The Doctor appears on the screen, still looking disheveled, if a little more tired, now. The high he got from being freed is wearing off, and he's starting back on the sick route he was in before.

"What are you up to, Rose?"

"Oy! It is waterproof," Rose teases back without the heart she usually would. She reaches up to touch the cheek he just wiped, wiping at it again. "Opinions on white shirts," she reaches out straightening his collar. His shirt is buttoned up wrong and she can't get that moment that she unbuttoned it out of her head. That makes her turn a bit red. Her hand falls down to his arm and then to her side in an attempt to make this less awkward.

"Yeah, not that waterproof," he teases. "Still. Makeup. Can't even understand it. Not that this face couldn't use a bit at times, I'm sure, but still."

This shouldn't be this awkward. He hates, with all his hearts, that it is.

She shakes her head, reaching out and laying her hand on his cheek. She'll hurdle right over the awkward to make him feel better. Or at least try. "You just look tired."

Okay. Awkward but she refuses to move. This is normal for them. And she'll keep at it until it's normal again. Time for more teasing though.

"You can borrow my concealer."

"I think you were right," he says. "Could use a little sleep."

Yeah, it's awkward. But they've survived awkward-er, he figures.

This time she holds out her hand for his.

They bounce. They'll get over the awkward.

"Rose," the Doctor says, firmly. He takes her hand. "When I told you I'd changed, I wasn't exaggerating. I wasn't lying. I'm different than the man you knew.

Rose nods, looking down at their hands. When she speaks her words are quiet and terribly sad. "I know. You're not my Doctor anymore."

Maybe that will explain what he overheard better than anything else she could have said.

"No, I guess I'm not," he says. It's one of the saddest things he's had to admit, but the man who Rose loved and the man he is now are two very different people.

Oh the sad. She can't tolerate the sad. At all. So it's a mischievous smile for him and a squeeze of his hand.

"You've not been my Doctor before and we fixed that." Also? Loved? No still present tense Doctor. Ninth incarnation, Tenth incarnation...she pretty sure it'd carry over to the Eleventh, Twelfth, Thirteenth and back before the Ninth too. "So we've got to adjust a bit. S'part of the fun."

"Yeah." But it's too late, isn't it? He's got that prophecy hanging over his head, the knowledge that it won't be long until he's long gone. And where will that leave Rose, in this place?

"Better get you back to the house," he says.

He ought to be really glad she's not telepathic. There would be a great deal of smacking.

"Lemme just pack up a bit." Rose released his hand, crouched and started putting everything in her backpack. Her notebook and equipment all went inside. She slung it over one shoulder, the gun over her other shoulder so that it rested against her hip then she slipped her hand in his.

She looks at him, nods and then smiles. "Stuck with you? Not so bad."

"Oy," Rose chuckles and shakes her head. "I'd take the Ninth you over that. Even on your grumpiest day."

She's trying to tell him any version of him? Yeah she'll take it.

He smiles at that. It feels good, being wanted by someone. Been a long while since he's felt that way.

"How did we get over here, anyway? Isn't it that way back to the house?"

Oh an honest smile. Rose likes that and she returns it. At his question she looks a bit confused then looks around. "You came lookin' for me, Doctor. Familiar sort of thing innit?"
