Not after everything she's done and how far she's come.

The Doctor appears on the screen, still looking disheveled, if a little more tired, now. The high he got from being freed is wearing off, and he's starting back on the sick route he was in before.

"What are you up to, Rose?"

"Never thought I'd see you again," he admits. "Suppose I don't really want to give it up just yet."

Now that she could understand. She steps a bit closer, bumping his shoulder with hers lightly. "S'your lucky day. I'm not giving up anything."

Her tone stays light but there's an undercurrent of stubborn.

"Good," he says. He leads the way back towards the house, eventually finding it and offering the lock to her.

"Now, I've got to get to work tomorrow----" he makes a face, "---bleugh, work, but! I'll come back here, eh?"

Rose's brow furrows and then her expression falls a bit. "You're not staying here?" A pause and then quickly. "Where are you going?"

The statement he made to Morgana about sleeping on his couch? Not really a stretch.

"I'll be back," the Doctor promises. "I just---well, you know. Don't want things to be---"

"Don't be stupid," she tells him softly. "No cooking from me. Cross my heart."

"Things can get complicated quickly, Rose," he warns. "And we shouldn't---we can't make them complicated."

"No complications," she promises him, shaking her head. "Just not letting go yet."

It's the first verbal concession she's made toward his warnings. It's more lip service than her truly accepting. The whole take what she can get mentality. For now.

"But it can get complicated!" the Doctor insists. "Two people, thrown into a very tight situation without any means of escape, that can be very awkward, and very fast!"

"Yeah. So we'll be on guard," Rose told him. She was going to smack him. Right upside the head. "S'not like we haven't been in tight situations before."

"Not---like we were," he says, nodding to the stairs that led to his room. "That was...tight on a level we don't---we haven't been before."

"S'exactly the sort of thing we'll be on guard for. We saved the Universe together, Doctor. Think we can avoid snoggin' for a bit," Rose smirks at him.

The Doctor looks down at his shoes. Snogging Cassandra or watching his human self snog Rose was very different from actually kissing her himself. He should never have let himself get into that situation. Slippery slopes, romantic ones.

"Right! We've been through far odder, I think."

"Just a bit," Rose agrees. She's making headway with him...she thinks anyway. "So you'll come in. I'll make some tea and head to my room. You can have a rest in your room. Read a bit."
