Mnegh.

Penelope had been napping. She's been doing a lot of that in the past few weeks, because honestly there's not much else to do besides that, eating too much, taking more of Trixie's delicious drugs, and petting her cat. And thanks to a certain noblewoman who has been plying said cat with human food, lately, she's been all out of cat. So, food, drugs and sleep has been pretty much it. Naturally she was not expecting visitors.

"Nngh," she replies quite precisely, "Come in." Although you will not find her at the top of her game, so to speak. You will probably find her mostly asleep, actually. So. Be ready for that.

Morgana opens the door, quietly, and lets Angus in first. Angus isn't quite so respectful as he leaps onto the bed, immediately, like he expects an apology for the closed door.

"He was trapped outside. That did not suit him." Morgana's not planning on an in-depth conversation on philosophy or politics.

"He'll live," Penelope mutters, and slowly drags herself somewhat more upright in bed. Angus pads up the bed and plops down entirely unsubtly in her lap, staring at her, his tail twitching, demanding attention which Penelope gives as soon as she's propped up comfortably.

"Have you been giving him people food? 'Cuz don't do that, he'll get all fat and spoiled and obnoxious." Angus would protest, but... it's true.

A thought passes that Angus is already spoiled and obnoxious, in a way only cats can pull off with any sort of charm.

"He has been assisting me with my meals." Morgana does not sound the least bit apologetic. She's not wanted to eat, the cat is charming, and she avoids any questions from Enfys about the food. In her mind, everyone is happy with the arrangement. "As I will be returning to the Royal Chambers shortly, it will no longer be an issue." She may not be apologetic, but she has no desire to be the least bit offensive.

Plus, Penelope will have to explain the decrease in food to Angus. Again, everyone wins.

"Yes, thankfully."

...comes Arthur's mildly irritated sounding response. It's not irritation with Morgana however, more at Taxon in general.

"I was trapped in a house made entirely of staircases for a day."

She takes a minute to look at him. As nothing looks broken, and he does not sound particularly vexed, more inconvenienced, Morgana feels a bit of relief.

Though she's not saying so to him.

"A house full of stairs?," In truth, that does not sound like the most fascinating way to spend the better part of the waking day, "Were the people pleasant, at least?"

"They seemed nice enough, though I was convinced the whole thing was a hallucination for a good part of it." He replies, with a shrug that seems to say 'I despair of the entire world'.

"What about you? Were you sent anywhere peculiar?"

"I was fortunate with our captors' choice of companions. I could not have been placed with a more amiable, or well-mannered group. Although, I must admit, a house made of glass, dedicated to what looked like a dark sect of the old religion, we all could have done without."

Morgana holds up the copy of Veneficus Mortuus. "I, apparently, wound up with a souvenir."

A book on the magical and the dead, pleasant reading, if one viewed pleasant as creepy and mystical.

The door swings open and the girl of the hour had...gone back to sleep, judging by how she's still wearing her pajamas (a kind way of saying 'camisole and underwear') and her hair is in the kind of disarray one has to have long, thick hair to achieve.

('Achieve' may not be the word we want here.)

"Morgana!"

Morgana smiles at the sight of her. It's not the clothes, or the hair, but that whatever their captors did, none of it, judging from herself, Arthur, the people from the Glass House, and now Enfys, caused any genuine harm.

"Did you have an entertaining adventure as well?"

"There were cats, it was surreal." This appears to be the extent of Enfys's commentary on her experience, and she opens the door wider so Morgana can come in past her if she likes. Her bedroom has been swiftly personalized much the same way she set to settling in at the Royal Chambers; there are glow-in-the-dark stars affixed to the ceiling, candles on almost every flat surface, rows and rows of nail polish, draping scarves that she must almost never actually wear laid over her mirror.

Gillian Owens would be comfortable in a room designed to Enfys's tastes, let's put it that way.

"You look all right. Are you all right?"

Morgana does come in, taking a moment to examine the room. "I was in a house made of glass. I was fortunate with the company, but the library would have suited you better," she says, while taking in the details of the room. It looks comfortable, and it certainly looks like Enfys, but she's not quite ready to offer it the appropriate compliments.

She does smile when she looks up at the ceiling. "It looks like you ran around the room and dropped pieces of yourself," she says, fancifully.

My dear,
I would be delighted to receive you. I am healing well and have come through this latest foolishness without mischief - my family has been all so robust since King Iorric - but I find myself quite cosseted with concern all the same. You'll need to speak briefly with Jack Benjamin to see me, for the time being, but I'll tell him to expect you.
I may have one small favour you may do me, but we'll speak of it when I see you.
With affection,
Lady Petrana.

Dear Countess,
I am intending to return to the Royal Chambers as soon as arrangements can be made. Once settled, I will contact Col. Benjamin about an appropriate time to visit.
I look forward to fulfilling your request.
Your humble servant,
Lady Morgana

He does hear her, yes, but he waits until she settles in the entryway to make a show of it; he's aware that he can be a little unnerving with his sometimes too-uncanny observations. (For a human, anyway.)

"Lady Morgana," he greets, looking up from his work and then standing. He takes note of her looking well. That's good. "How can I help you?"

"Sir. I have been asking," Morgana phrases it as if she's asked every single person, as such wording usually appeases independent people, "and it appears that many of us were temporarily abducted," she pauses, "yet again. Was that also the case with yourself?"

She's got another reason she wishes to see him, but that request can wait until she's certain he is fine. He looks fine, which adds more credence to her theory that the whole house business was just some random silliness meant as entertainment to their captors.

"Yes, it was." Bruce is, honestly, trying to just put it out of his mind as an annoyance. Even if everything was comfortable and pleasant he wouldn't have enjoyed it, being such an unfortunate hater of fun, but such is life. "You seem like you fared well enough. Everything in order?"

He looks fine, and she looks well, but whether or not those looks are deceiving, is an entirely different story.

"I did," she replies in regards to faring well. "The people were lovely. One of them I believe you know, a Mr. Grayson?"

She changes the topic, not wanting to take up too much of his time. "I did want to speak with you on a separate matter."
