006: [Location: Wayne Manor, Text & Visual] Let Me Only Have the Company of the People I Love

Mar 29, 2010 20:39

Immediately upon awakening from the her unexpected excursion to the Glass House, Morgana sets about on a tradition that she alone holds.  Crises at Camelot were usually followed by frantic action and planning, none to which Morgana is usually privy.  Instead, she would make herself useful by wandering about the halls, staying out of the way of most things, and simply look for everyone.  Sometimes, she would speak to them and other times, she would just watch a moment and move on.  Other issues were often more pressing than her concern.

Of course, all of this had to be done without any actual expression of concern.  Those filled with duty, and pride, often did not appreciate any perceived notion of fussing, as they believed themselves beyond such things.  She has not escaped that type of person in Taxon.

She puts no thought into the order or identity of who she contacts -- she is not immune to believing herself above such things either.

The first thing she does turn on her tablet, and sets it visual.  "Arthur, are you at the Royal Chambers?"  It is a simple request, not fussing.

After speaking with Arthur, Morgana gets out of bed.  She is still wearing the robe that was hatched at the Glass House.  In the pocket is a small, and old, volume entitled Veneficus Mortuus.  She had carried it out of the library with the intention of perusing it; she had not intended to steal it, but as it was now in her possession, Morgana knows exactly to whom she should give the book.

Stopping outside an unfamiliar room (neglecting seeing it has just been due to respecting the occupant's privacy, Morgana is above sulking), she tentatively knocks on the door.  "Enfys," she's quiet, not wanting to sound like anything is urgent, "are you in?"

[Once she is done speaking with Enfys, Morgana heads back to her sickroom.  From the hatch, she orders proper clothing.  It's simplistic: a simple smock and kirtle (but in royal blue, because it's prettier that way), much more in the style of what Gwen would wear, but she's selected it because donning of it requires little effort.  As she considers the best way to put it on, without feeling sore, then sends a quick text to the Countess Petrana.  She chooses this method not because she does not wish to see the Countess, but in case the Countess is not comfortable being seen, as of yet.]

Dear Countess,
I hope my short message finds your injuries healing quickly and whatever unpleasant trick our captors have played on us not too taxing upon your health.
If you are feeling well enough, I would like to arrange to repay your kind visit.  Also, if there is anything of which I can assist you during your recovery, please do not hesitate to ask.
My deepest sincerity,
Lady Morgana

[The Countess is the only one who will be fussed over.  It is more difficult to express displeasure over such actions in writing.]

It's the first time she's been fully dressed since the incident, and Morgana's rather relieved.  The royal blue smock and kirtle, may not be her usual standards of attire, but she can mange it on her own, without the need for a lady's maid.  She's trying to look as healthy as possible as she is frustrated with always looking pitiful in front of the master of the house.

She finds him looking occupied -- as Mr. Wayne usually is.  Certain he's heard her (sometimes she has the fanciful thought that he hears everything, even if he is not present for the noise), she waits patiently to be recognized.  If he is too busy with his matters to acknowledge her, she will be on her way.  She meant her promise to leave him in peace.

Heading back to her sick room, she walks by Penelope's door.  It is shut and Angus is staring at the closed door as if it is the greatest affront in all cat history.  Her feline knight looks at her, with the expectation that she end this indignity, as he is an independent male who goes where he likes, when he likes.  The closed door is preventing him from doing what he pleases.  This is simply not acceptable.

Previously, Morgana has not spoken to Penelope, as the other woman does not need Morgana to foist any guilt she may be feeling on top of any other injuries.  She is to the point now, that, if Penelope is feeling like the company, Morgana can keep things light.  Also, there might be a bit of wanting to keep Angus happy involved, when she does knock on the door.  "Miss Penelope?"

Back in her room, for a moment, Morgana opens a channel to the Doctor.  It's not as if she thinks no one will have checked to make sure he is back in his cell, she is just not as certain anyone would have checked that he is well.  She closes it again immediately.  Instead, she settles into her reading chair and does not think about why she opened the channel in the first place.  Everyone else has been checked upon, and she is content with that.
