She takes a minute to look at him. As nothing looks broken, and he does not sound particularly vexed, more inconvenienced, Morgana feels a bit of relief.
Though she's not saying so to him.
"A house full of stairs?," In truth, that does not sound like the most fascinating way to spend the better part of the waking day, "Were the people pleasant, at least?"
"They seemed nice enough, though I was convinced the whole thing was a hallucination for a good part of it." He replies, with a shrug that seems to say 'I despair of the entire world'.
"What about you? Were you sent anywhere peculiar?"
"I was fortunate with our captors' choice of companions. I could not have been placed with a more amiable, or well-mannered group. Although, I must admit, a house made of glass, dedicated to what looked like a dark sect of the old religion, we all could have done without."
Morgana holds up the copy of Veneficus Mortuus. "I, apparently, wound up with a souvenir."
A book on the magical and the dead, pleasant reading, if one viewed pleasant as creepy and mystical.
Arthur eyes the book with a sort of wary distaste. In spite of the fact that he's met a very nice witch named Piper in Taxon, he's still incredibly suspicious of anything vaguely magical. Evidently he does not approve.
"One of the happier titles in the house's library." The words may sound like they should be sarcastic, but Morgana is serious. There was one book called Unus Mille Mores Silenti etc Mos Iuguolo Victus (1000 Ways the Dead Can Kill the Living) she did not even open that particular volume.
"I did not intend to bring it back with me, but I know what I am going to do with it."
"No," She smiles because it is not a bad idea. "I know that someone in Taxon is creating a collection of such things. I do not believe Enfys has this particular volume."
Next, she addresses a decision she came to in the Glass House, and Arthur, rightfully, should be the first to know. "If I were to ask her to escort me back to the Royal Chambers, tomorrow," because, in Taxon, traveling with a vampire slayer, might be a good idea, "would that be a problem?"
Not wanting to pick a fight, she leaves out the state she fears the Royal Cambers might be in, at this point.
"Why on earth would anyone want to collect things like that?" Arthur asks, with a wrinkle-nosed look of disgust. That Enfys certainly is an odd one, that's for sure. He doesn't say that part out loud, however. Unfortunately, Morgana's choice of homecoming companion does injure his pride a little bit.
This was unintended. Morgana would know that tone of voice anywhere. She's inspired it often enough (purposefully) that she can typically avoid accidentally inciting it. She's very careful to make sure her tone could not be mistaken for anything other than matter of fact.
"With the revenant, Angelus's recent actions, I thought the escort of a vampire slayer," as Enfys claimed it as her destiny, who was Morgana will not question it this time -- destiny has a lot to answer for in other cases, "might be the prudent choice." She avoided the words more and better.
Of course, this is all dependent on Arthur paying attention to the tablet broadcasts.
"I see." Arthur has to concede that the reasoning probably makes sense, but he's still not altogether happy about it - he's quite sure he could handle Angelus, considering he's fought magical beasts before, and ones that were more formidable than a man, even if said man is supposed to be a 'vampire'.
"Well then, I suppose I'll see you when you return." If he sounds a bit sulky, it's because he is.
As much as Morgana would like to return to something that might resemble normalcy, she wishes that normalcy did not include Arthur behaving like she's purposefully wounded his pride.
"If you would refer I not return tomorrow, then I am certain I can find other accommodations," that might be a bit of an empty threat. She's feeling a bit anxious about the whole endeavor. It's certainly easier than telling him the full reason she would rather make separate arrangements and frankly, she would like one thing in Taxon to happen smoothly. "And you need not concern yourself with visiting today. Obviously you shall have your fill of me should I return home," she corrects herself, "to the Royal Chambers, tomorrow."
It's quite amazing how Morgana has the singular ability of rendering him utterly irritated with just a few small well-chosen words. He sighs, stopping just short of rolling his eyes at her.
"No, tomorrow will be fine, Morgana. I haven't wrecked the place, if that's what you're worried about."
"Of course, my Lord," a term she is almost incapable of using without it being meant facetiously, "I would not wish to be a burden on you precious time. In fact, it is so precious that if you could not be present, I would understand." No, she would not but anxiety and sensitivity means a snippy Morgana.
"Perhaps you might not wish to be there, considering the state of things."
There's only one place this can go, and it is not a good place. What is it about the other that inspires such pettiness?
"Beyond the state of Royal Chambers? There are plenty of states before 'wrecked' that would not be ideal."
"At least you can take comfort that I will not be requiring your assistance, upon my return," because, she's stubborn like that. Morgana, might possibly, go without what assistance she could ask, rather than deign to ask Arthur.
...comes Arthur's mildly irritated sounding response. It's not irritation with Morgana however, more at Taxon in general.
"I was trapped in a house made entirely of staircases for a day."

Well, if she's going to do it, so will he. Very mature, naturally.
