LOVE THIS LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! I'll spare you the capslock in my gush:

HAHAHA. WTF. BOXING DAY?? IS THAT LIKE CANADIAN BLACK FRIDAY??? ONLY PSYCHOPATHS ACTUALLY DO THAT SHIT!! JADEN IS SO RIGHT!!

LOL'ed SO HARD at Mamoru freezing to death in a lawn chair. Future king of Earth camps out at..Future Shop? Like a crazy person. Oh God I hope this ends up in the CT version of TMZ. For seventy bucks off of an Xbox. Shit Neil, I'll spot you the difference you fucking crazy person!

He could have been lounging in sunny Auckland right now, but of course it was Neil, and not Kain, who threatened to tie him up and carry him home in his suitcase and stuff him full of food and Canadian alcohol and make him learn to skate (painful), ski (disastrous, and nearly fatal), and toboggan (since there was no skill required, only Neil got injured).DYING LAUGHING AT THE MENTAL IMAGE. What is Canadian alcohol? Labatts ( ... )

Boxing Day is the day after Christmas, and yes, it's just like Black Friday. They said on the radio the other day that some people start lining up on Christmas Eve (WTF). I exchanged gifts with friends at a restaurant today, and the waiter asked us if we're among the people who choose to celebrate Christmas on December 27 so all their shopping can be done on Boxing Day. I never do Boxing Day sales. Who still wants to be in a mall AFTER Christmas shopping?

What is Canadian alcohol? Labatts?

Various forms of beer, mostly. Since Neil's from BC, probably Granville or Philips. They name their beers things like Growhop or Surly Blonde.

Are there any other Wrights/Dubois???

There are more. Lots more. Including a sweet grandma. Please note the jaunty French-Canadian name, just like you asked.

Kain's krazy: New Zealand is awesome. But I can understand Rock Fever. He is crazy. Though it's Christmas with ( ... )

Oh good, America is exporting its crazy materialism to our Neighbors to the North. This is not a good thing. Black Friday/Boxing Day weirdos that miss major holidays to camp out for electronics are fucking mental.

INTERNET, people. Also I spent way too much time on the Future Shop website looking at how much stuff costs in crazy Canadian dollars.

I have GOT to get my ass to Canadia, because I want to check out these amazing beers! No one knows beer like Canadians! (except Germans and Belgians, and maybe Irish).

This is why Neil is extra-crazy, actually. The Canadian dollar is almost at par with the American dollar, but our prices haven't decreased, so shit is more expensive here TO BEGIN WITH. "Sales" are usually just "paying what Americans pay NORMALLY." Buy that shit when you go home, Neil.

I LOVE THE JAUNTY FRENCH NAME. Oh, now I thought about how sad all of them must have been when Neil was missing, and I haz a sad ;___;

They were sad. Some of his siblings were still kids, too. Most of them were still living at home and he was just gone.

I heard they kinda like their sheep over there ;)

So the sheep shagging, in any verse, is canon for Kunzite, is that what you're telling me?

Once we had a Japanese exchange student, and thought we'd make her a turkey dinner, but we couldn't explain what a "turkey" was, so my mom told her it was a chicken. When she saw my mom holding this giant turkey, her eyes got all round and she went "BIIIIIG chicken!"

Oh Mamoru, you should know by now that if you decide to go with Neil, you might have fun, but also be overwhelmed or find yourself in weird situations. If you go with Kain, you will be perfectly safe, no craziness will ensue and you might return relaxed albeit bored.

I absolute love this: people really go crazy when it comes to bargain (fun fact: German shops are closed on Boxing Days, so there is no chance of even going grocery shopping until Christmas is really, truly over). All that freezing for an Xbox! Neil, you dolt, you could have gotten it on the internet!

And now that I know that writing angst will lead to more Monstersoxx, 2011 will be full of tears! ;)

If that is indeed the case, then angst away. Just remember that Bieber and Katy Perry are becoming richer as a result of you. OH, and Sean Kingston.

I don't mind Katy Perry. In fact, it's a new but cherished tradition: I hate her songs the first three times I hear them, and then suddenly, they're all I want to listen to. Yes, really.

ME TOO. The only exception is "Firework" because she sounds like she's screeching/yodeling.

Also: Neil's sister is adorable. Hey, I might be stupid and forgetful, but what's with the two family names? Is it patchworky?

It is patchworky. Neil's mom remarried after she had Neil and Ben. Neil's real dad is some crazy hippy living on a commune in the woods.

Somehow, this doesn't surprise me nearly enough. :D So that's where Neil got this personal kind of wild kindness from!

I love how much background information you have for all the Soxx characters.

It's all V's doing! She asks so many probing questions that force me to think about stuff like that. Also I admire how she has such intricate family details worked out in Econ that makes every character seem totally real.
