Mini-Monstersocks story, to stave off the crushing angst. It's lame to write Christmas fic after Christmas. Therefore, Boxing Day fic!

In which Mamoru learns a Christmas lesson.

Boxing Day is the day after Christmas, and yes, it's just like Black Friday. They said on the radio the other day that some people start lining up on Christmas Eve (WTF).

Oh good, America is exporting its crazy materialism to our Neighbors to the North. This is not a good thing. Black Friday/Boxing Day weirdos that miss major holidays to camp out for electronics are fucking mental.

INTERNET, people. Also I spent way too much time on the Future Shop website looking at how much stuff costs in crazy Canadian dollars.

Various forms of beer, mostly. Since Neil's from BC, probably Granville or Philips. They name their beers things like Growhop or Surly Blonde.

I have GOT to get my ass to Canadia, because I want to check out these amazing beers! No one knows beer like Canadians! (except Germans and Belgians, and maybe Irish).

There are more. Lots more. Including a sweet grandma. Please note the jaunty French-Canadian name, just like you asked.

I LOVE THE JAUNTY FRENCH NAME. Oh, now I thought about how sad all of them must have been when Neil was missing, and I haz a sad ;___;

And if YouTube taught me anything, it's that NZers complain that nothing happens there, so yeah, Rock Fever.

I heard they kinda like their sheep over there ;)

This is why Neil is extra-crazy, actually. The Canadian dollar is almost at par with the American dollar, but our prices haven't decreased, so shit is more expensive here TO BEGIN WITH. "Sales" are usually just "paying what Americans pay NORMALLY." Buy that shit when you go home, Neil.

They were sad. Some of his siblings were still kids, too. Most of them were still living at home and he was just gone.

So he's doing it for the experience and the familial bonding. Yep, crazy. Poor Mamoru probably won't find out about this until they're back in Boston and he sees an Xbox on sale at Best Buy and then loses it. He froze his testicles off for nothing! LOL!!!

OH NOES!!! I don't even know Neil's Mom or cute Grandma and the thought of them crying makes me so emo. Wait, how many freaking siblings does he have? More than 5?

I just confirmed with the office Australian that yes, sheep jokes about New Zealand are 100%, so yes, Kunzite gets sheep jokes in every 'verse. Now we just need one where he's from West Virginia or something.

Exactly. Neil is all about living the experience, not the product at the end. I think he'd be just as happy doing this for like, one game (but then he couldn't justify it to Mamoru).

Probably not that many, but in my mind they are a hoard. Maybe like 3.
