With no disrespect intended to many of the hard-working, competent and dedicated volunteer staff members of the LT, the problem with treating your volunteers like something you just found on the sole of your boot is that the pool of willing and able volunteers gets smaller and smaller.
When you have a good-sized pool, you get to choose the best. The smaller the pool, and the more good ones leave or are cast aside, the lower the collective talent and quality you have to select from, and the poorer the end-result gets. This isn't politics - it's mathematics!
When I started playing, there were a huge band of excellent staff members. Over half of these have now left, having been treated appallingly by the LT's management. If they were in paid employment, over half of these cases would actually be actionable.
