Is your popcorn made from real Boy Scouts?
I bought a box of popcorn from the Boy Scout in front of Safeway, and I thought his dad was going to weep with joy. It was a $13 box of popcorn!! The Boy Scouts need to rethink this. Girl Scout cookies are so popular because they're only like, $3- $4 a box ( Read more... ) -

It didn't work.
So I've been feeling anxious and depressed these last two days with everything going on, so I thought I'd take a break from NPR and cable news, and watch a movie. That'll lighten me up, right?
Take it from me: don't watch Million Dollar Baby in an effort to "lighten up" from the sorrows of the world. -
Bread in the consumer age.
I made bread from scratch today, but in the bread machine, because I'm otherwise very lazy. It's a whole wheat with some bread flour mixed in, as well as honey and bananas. The loaf is almost gone we've eaten so much! Even the cat scarfs it down. I want to make whole wheat bread next time, but it might require some experimentation, because I've ( Read more... ) -
