Ever since my bird evolved, she's spent a lot of time staring at the sun. I feel like that can't be good for her, but she doesn't seem to mind it. What lovely weather. Now I am glad I decided to linger in town for a while.

And also that I had the foresight to buy tea. In weather like this, it's more than worth the money.

Cherrygrove seems like a pleasant little town. It's a lot like where I lived as a small child... Perhaps that's why I've been dawdling around here instead of getting on with things. I had forgotten just how hard it could be, trying to keep something that fluid contained by force of will alone. I think if seeing Yuuko's tricks with smoke had not encouraged me to practice, I probably couldn't have kept it up that long. Thank the kind fates that it's over... for now...

I lost my duel, but I can't say I'm sorry about that. I haven't been practicing enough as of late. That's what I get, I suppose, for keeping to myself and my own little circle of decidedly non-card-oriented friends. It was still an interesting diversion, and it appears to have been for a useful cause.

It appears that I am going to be having a public duel. I find I am looking forward to it. However, I'm going to have to ask... would any of you be able to loan me a Duel Disk? I'm afraid I don't own one.
