Favourite H/C moments in Fic - no 2

Hello. Last week I explored my first and biggest h/c button - injury in peril with ongoing or underlying tension (and associated misunderstanding of character). Yes, it is long name but accurate, I hope.

This post covers my next fav h/c button - The almost action fueled by desperation.

I love that story ♥ And this scene, too, I've reread it several times. I also like McKay's reaction, a short but effective description. So yes, I have that button too :)

yes, the scene after that when Sam and Zelenka and I think Teal'c are talking to Rodney is one of my favs. Rodney all defensive and iffy about his actions, Sam giving him the silent treatment and Zelenka happily crowing about what a moron Rodney is :)

And the scene where the Athosians make a deal with the Earthers and John wants to leave because he's dumb that way :) And bitter John thinking about how he had to steal all his spaceships, and the scene in Retrograde where John think they'll send him into space, and - okay, if I start listing my favorite scenes in Retrograde I'll still be here tomorrow. I love that series so much.

Martha writes great 'oblivious' John. I love that series so much too! Especially the Hunting Party series... its the one slash fic series that I cannot seem to dislike. I heart it so so much!!

Damnit woman! Now I'm itching to re-read this whole fic because it hits so many of my buttons (this scene you quoted being a big one and that what comes after it even a bigger one). What stops me? It's too late! *argh*

Also - you are evil! I'm longing to re-read Retrograde for a while now but that would lead to a re-read of every story Martha Wilson has written. Um. Well. *argh*

*scratches head* 8.30? I did not think I was ahead of you either. Does Austria do daylight savings? Because we don't - we stay at +2 GMT all year round.

I am longing to read it too and might next week - if I use Retrograde for my next h/c button because it has a MASSIVE one. Gah - I love Martha Wilson's stories. And the other writer who posts on that sight. Even the slash fics (just not the NC17 ones).
