Favourite H/C moments in Fic - no 2

Feb 19, 2012 21:20

*waves*

Hello. Last week I explored my first and biggest h/c button - injury in peril with ongoing or underlying tension (and associated misunderstanding of character). Yes, it is long name but accurate, I hope.

This post covers my next fav h/c button - The almost action fueled by desperation.

Damnit woman! Now I'm itching to re-read this whole fic because it hits so many of my buttons (this scene you quoted being a big one and that what comes after it even a bigger one). What stops me? It's too late! *argh*

Its only 9.30!! You can read it!! \o/

Ok, maybe not. But just re-read the scenes before the one I quote until the end :)... and then go read Retrograde!

You are one hour ahead of me? I thought we are in the same timezone! It's only 8.30 over here. :D But, it's still too late for such a long fic. :(

Also - you are evil! I'm longing to re-read Retrograde for a while now but that would lead to a re-read of every story Martha Wilson has written. Um. Well. *argh*

*scratches head* 8.30? I did not think I was ahead of you either. Does Austria do daylight savings? Because we don't - we stay at +2 GMT all year round.

I am longing to read it too and might next week - if I use Retrograde for my next h/c button because it has a MASSIVE one. Gah - I love Martha Wilson's stories. And the other writer who posts on that sight. Even the slash fics (just not the NC17 ones).

Love love love!!

and there is so much Cam&John scenes!!

Ah, that's it! We do the daylight saving. :)

To be honest, I think Victoria Custer = Martha Wilson but I'm not to a 100% sure. That means you haven't read "Hunting Parties"? (which hit another one of my big buttons - John being drugged and alone and dependend on someone he doesn't know *gnh*) Oh boy, there are so many awesome stories of her (Earth 2, Earthly Knights, Lorne meets the Team/arrives on Atlantis (yes, I know it's a Retrograd story), Belonging, and so on, and so on)

Yep, I'm not sure but I think her stories are one of the reasons why I adore John/Cam so much...

No, I have read Hunting Parties - with some serious blinkers on and skipping a few scenes. I was just so utterly intrigued by on the non-slash stories that I had to go back and read the others.

I might agree on the JOhn/Cam thing - that and miss porcupine's stories :)
