yeah, i wasn't disagreeing with you, really. i was emphasizing your point, as well as folks' tendencies to try to remain liked throughout it all. and that need leads to putting it off or doing other maiming things that just don't have to be part of an already delicate situation. delicate situations don't actually need delicate behavior, eh. ;-)

You know, I've really been debating this topic myself. I think the difficulty with friends as opposed to romantic partners is that we have different expectations of our friends. I don't think I've ever had a friendship that has even come close to getting as tangled and emotional as that of a romance ( ... )
