Manning and I are off to London for 2 days! We're leaving in a couple hours and return Friday afternoon. Other than using a different currency (and sighing a lot during the process because man does the exchange suck), going to London seems like the easiest thing in the world. The Victoria and Albert Museum and the Tate!! The British have stolen some amazing things from all over the world and the museums are all free.

I've been to most of the "big" museums in London already, though I wouldn't mind going back to the Tate.

did you guys go to the Brittish Museum? It is right near the Russel Square stop on the Picadilly line. And speaking of Russel Square, I really liked that whole neighborhood.

Go to Wagamama near the Charring Cross station. Just ask anyone near the theatre there where Wagamama is -- it's like 2 blocks away.

camden is good for the punky stuff--there's a store called the Fairy Gothmother on the second floor of the market that's worth an eye.

Brick Lane (near Aldgate East tube) is always a good place to visit--it's the heart of the Bengali neighborhood around there and the food is stunningly awesome.

If you're in Soho, there's good cheap falafel at Maoz on Old Crompton Street, and First Out (52 St Giles High Street, right by Tottenham Court Road tube) has moderately priced vegetarian food.
