you know what they say? some of it was true.
Manning and I are off to London for 2 days! We're leaving in a couple hours and return Friday afternoon. Other than using a different currency (and sighing a lot during the process because man does the exchange suck), going to London seems like the easiest thing in the world. I actually have no idea what we'll do during the day tomorrow, so if anyone has any suggestions and can post them in the next couple of hours, please do. If there are areas for decent shopping (ie: punk rockish) I would love to know, or if you have a favorite cafe or something. We're staying near the tube stop Manor House, which is on the Picadilly Line.
We're going to miss the Fete de la musique in Paris, which is kind of sad. It's a huge, free music festival that takes over the city and lasts all night long. The metro runs all night, the parties are non-stop, and no one will care that it happens to be Wednesday night. At least we'll be back in time to do the Paris Pride march on Saturday! I'm going to try and not let the fact that I have to give tours (early) all weekend get in the way of having a good time late into the night this weekend.
