"Play Faster! Play FASTER! PLAY..."(maniacal laughter) "FASTER!"

It's interesting to observe, as time goes by, the rise and fall of horrible crazes that cause later generations to shake their heads in wonder at the inhumanity and dumbness of their ancestors. The Drug War is one of these. I can remember the insane anti-drug lectures and films I sat through in high school, showing the deadly effects of "Mary Jane ( Read more... )

"Educational" programs about drugs did an admirable job of so badly wrecking their credibility with students that valid warnings about harder drugs may have gone unheeded. Why believe that heroin can wreck your life when the same person telling you this is invoking pot-fueled axe-murders?

Wow. We agree again. I've thought this for over 30 years.

And back around that time I remember hearing about paraquat, an herbicide used to kill marijuana plants. The story was that growers would immediately cut down their plants if they were sprayed, so that down the chain users would end up smoking pot sprayed with paraquat, which was supposed to have very bad health effects. A reporter asked about this to someone fairly high up in the government and their response was something to the effect that people shouldn't smoke marijuana because t was so dangerous in the first place.

Fucking idiots.

I don't know if there are regular cannabis smokers here. Since I've tried vaporizing weed, there's no going back to smoking it (or smoking anything for that matter). Vaporizing is much more efficient at extracting the cannabinoids and avoiding the toxicity of smoke that it makes no sense for anyone with half a brain to consume cannabis in any other way but vaporized.

Spots can actually cause more damage than a vaporiser. Especially if you were to use a gas stove.

Nancy Grace is basically Delores Umbridge with a cable show.

LOL Yes!

Nah. Delores was far too soft-spoken for the Grace comparison, and Grace doesn't have the kittens everywhere.

I see Grace more as a Carrie Nation, axes and all.

Glenn Beck, to his credit, will call himself a rodeo clown and admits that his on-air persona is styled after a fictional character (the main character of Network, if you didn't know)

I'd be surprised if Grace admitted she was performing an act on stage.

"Play Faster! Play FASTER! PLAY..."(maniacal laughter) "FASTER!"

Probably not the best time to mention that I do a killer impersonation of that guy.
